Geez, that'd want to include lunch and a 6 pack for that price

It's a magical course but given I'm playing twice later in the same week I think I'll give it a miss. Might have a round at Port Macquarie instead, nice little course.

Out of those I have played at Strathfield & Liverpool, IMO Liverpool is the better of the two by a long way, only played Strathfield once.

Can't remember which holes but there are a few where you are in the s#*t if you don't pay due dillegence or "course management" (play certain holes down one side or if you are going to miss from the tee you need to make sure you miss to the right side)

Yeah mate I've played at all of them. I'd say Lynwood and Liverpool are the best imo.

New Brighton is just around the corner from me and I think they are doing some changes to the course atm to fit in with the land they sold to Mirvac. Not sure what stage they are up to as I haven't been down there for a little while.

Just booked a round at Camden Lakeside for Thursday 21/5. Still have the $35 offer, can't complain about that. Also playing on the Friday but haven't decided where yet.

Pity it wasn't the week after you were playing HB, I'm on leave then.

So the US Open starts on Friday morning our time. Really looking forward to this, the course looks interesting to say the least!

Quirky it most definitely is. The first will be a par four one day and a par five the next, with the 18th flipping to keep the course a par 70.

The course could be as long as 7,900 yards or as short as 7,200, with the par-three 15th varying between 246 and 123 yards.

The ninth will either be played downhill or uphill and, if all this is not wacky enough, then it is difficult to tell where the greens begin and end.

Little white dots signify the boundaries of the greens, meaning that players will constantly be asking whether they can mark their balls.

No one else watching this? Jason Day tied for the lead going into the final round.

Great course. I'd much rather watch these guys play on really tough courses like this rather than shooting 20 under.
Lost in translation, I just meant if hackers like you or I were playing there it would be impossible.

But yeah I agree, was funny watching perfectly good drives run off fairways well into the rough.

Fair enough mate. You're right though, I reckon I'd shoot my typical 18 hole score on this course for 9 holes.

Who do we fancy to win the Open this week boys? Jordan Speith is gunning for his third major in a row but with only two days prep after a quick jet flight from the states after winning the John Deere Classic he may be a bit underdone.

As for the Aussies Adam Scott and Jason Day willbargain lead the charge although Paul Gow and Jack Newton give Greg Chalmers a hope.

Bets are being laid apparently on whether Tiger will make the cut or miss the 1st Fairway.
For those who don't know, the 1st Fairway is so wide and Sunday hacker can make it. But Tiger is so bad off the tee these days it will be interesting to see how he goes.
