i want to know how those 3 commentators in the box did not see weyman grab beau ryan in a headlock as priddis jumped over from dummy half..

Yeah wtf was with that? They were originally trying to claim that the try was disallowed because the guy on the other side was obstructed.

It was clear as **** that he was held back by the head and he was in a postion to make the tackle. But all gus could do was whinge about it. What a sad bastard. They should just change the rules to "Gus's Call". :take that

Yeah Gus is really ****ting me. Over opinionated ******** who has nothing better to do than attack the NRL.
Wish he'd get off his arse and actually use his knowledge of the game for good rather than just being a cock.

Absolutely agree.
And then he just keeps going on and on and on about it for the next 5 minutes. It's just getting ridiculous.
He's the man with all the answers supposedly, so he should get the **** out there and do something. Getting payed too well to sit on his bum and criticise everything.

Things I cant stand about the NRL

I havent slept a great deal since the weekend. Over the past few months I have taken a greater interest and have shared a great deal more passion for the game of rugby league, even more than the AFL. But Since the weekend I have been bitterly reminded of the things I hate about this league, not the game, but the league.

On Saturday night I witnessed one of the greatest injustices I have seen in this game, a side that has worked so hard together to put some wins on the board, have its 3 best players taken from them, so they can be "used" to play in a revenue raiser for the competition, which is nothing more than an exhibition match. Thousands of members who have paid their hard earned, stuck by through thick and thin, have thier chances of playing finals footy snatched by them so the NRL can make a couple of millon dollars. I used to be able to understand why a top team who is dominating have thier players used for origin duty, but a team that is fighting for every inch? Bull****.

Also, as today I learn of a player who is leaving the club, a player who we had many high hopes for in our future, it makes me realise just how much loyalty this sport is lacking. If the NRL had the AFL system, this prick would not be able to leave the club, unless we were compensated with a player who we saw of equal value.

***** I am in a bad mood. This league is run by idiots.

Oh yeah, and Blake ferguson is the perfect example of a selfish pig of a human being.

In NBA2K they have a system where if a player wants out of a team and can convince his team to allow it, they can be traded to another team but only if the player coming back in return makes within 25% above or below what they're on themselves. It is designed to stop lop-sided trades from happening.

This is derived from the real-life rule in the NBA where teams must apply this scaling to trades if they are both right bang on the salary cap. (If they are well under, it doesn't matter)

What's their system? Sounds interesting.

It may sound complicated mate but is actually quite simple, however if it will work I think there really needs to be a draft.

There are no free agents, a player could never sign with another club while he is playing at his current. If a player wants out of a club, the club need to negotiate with other clubs and meet a trade agreement. If an agreement cannot be reached, the player must enter the national draft, then runs the risk of ending up and any club in the country- whoever picks him first, and has no choice- therefore thinks twice before even thinking about asking to leave his club.

This is how it would work. Fergo wants out of the sharks, and wants to head to canberra. sharks ask for josh dugan or terry campese in return for fergo and tim smith. A trade is not agreed upon. However, Wests are interested. A trade is reached, with Tim Smith and Ferguson traded for Chris Lawrence. Just say, Fergo doesnt want to be at that club for whatever reason, well too bad, he must play there. That is why there is a lot of loyalty in the AFL. Things like what fergo has done rarely happen.

Benji Marshall kicked a fieldy from 50 out moments after Vossy and Gus were going on about Lockyer's drop kick in Origin. Was a beauty of a kick.
