we need a forum pub!

give me more details ... Do you mean like a place where only users aged 18+ can read and post, or do you mean that we need to all go to a pub and drink?

if you mean the former, I'm happy to create that, just PM me a list of users that we should allow in ...

if the latter, when are you in sydney next? :)

A real life forum pissup!!

I can see it now. We'll up meet up after a home game, and hit the pubs. We then have several drinking games including who can skull a beer the fastest, and there can be some sort of trivial prize like a custom title or something.

GLORIOUS! ;)

The Source Of Peachey's Aggression

You all may have noticed that peachey is quite the aggressive kid. Especially at the mention of on Brett Kimmorley.

I've figured out the TRUE SOURCE of peachey's aggression ... it's not Noddy, it's that he is in fact ....

... a ...

RANGA!

Some snippets from wikipedia:
A common stereotype of redheads is that they have fiery tempers. In Anne of Green Gables, a character says of Anne Shirley, the redheaded heroine, that "her temper matches her hair", while in The Catcher in the Rye, Holden Caulfield remarks that "People with red hair are supposed to get mad very easily, but Allie [his dead brother] never did, and he had very red hair."

The bullying that he's mentioned suffering:
In modern-day UK and Ireland, despite being one of the places with the highest populations of redheads, the words "ginger" or "ginga" are derogatorily used to describe red-headed people, with terms such as "gingerphobia" (fear of redheads) or "gingerism" (prejudice against redheads)[44] used by the media. Redheads are also sometimes referred to disparagingly as "carrot tops" and "carrot heads". "Gingerism" has been compared to racism, although this is widely disputed and bodies such as the UK Commission for Racial Equality do not monitor cases of discrimination and hate crimes against redheads. Prince Harry was bullied at school because of his red hair. A UK woman recently won an award from a tribunal after being sexually harassed and receiving abuse because of her red hair; a family in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, was forced to move twice after being targeted for abuse and hate crime on account of their red hair; and in 2003, a 20 year old was stabbed in the back for "being ginger."

And the explanation for their fiery tempers: they don't get much sex.
Rees (2004) suggested that the vividness and rarity of red hair may lead to it becoming desirable in a partner and therefore it could become more common through sexual selection.

Harding et al (2000) proposed that red hair was not the result of positive selection but rather occurs due to a lack of negative selection. In Africa, for example, red hair is selected against because high levels of sun would be harmful towards fair skin. However, in Northern Europe this does not happen and so redheads come about through genetic drift.[13]

no offense to Rangas by the way. My brother is a ranga. My brother in law is a ginga. Abby is showing some slight early signs of Gingavitis, but more of the strawberry blonde variety.

Thommo As A Kid?

Well I take Peach's word that it's not him - for mine this kid looks more like Thommo, 20-odd years ago! :D
