Anyone who plays fantasy or supercoach will know him and like him, though maybe not a boomer from penrith or something.

Everyone NRL fan I talk to knows about Teig.

I think a lot of people with decent knowledge of other teams rosters would be able to name him as a sharks forward potentially in line for a break out year

Other clubs know about basically everybody.

There ain’t no NRL recruitment managers going on zero tackle for a list of off-contract players (…you’d hope)
Teig also made basically every rep team he was ever eligible for, played in a winning Flegg team, captained NSW u20 and would have captained Australia u20 if they’d had a team that year. He was not a low profile prospect.

And I remember so many people on the Facebook pages saying he was only making the team because he was (coach at the time) John Morris nephew.. lol

I'd be happy to sign Wilton for 5 years. The kid's got it.

Looked a bit physically out of his depth at times last night. Have seen that before.
Love his energy and attitude though, never took a backward step (intentionally anyway)

He could do with a bit more size, there is no doubting his effort though, didn’t stop. He has a bit of Luke Lewis about him the way he runs out of the line to shut his guy down, the lines he runs and the way he can score from a kick.

Nothing wrong with the size of him

Copped a couple of quick and close rough passes at his neck from Moylan which he spilled under pressure in the line - still had some good moments in attack and defense

has a knack for getting over the line for us. he is far from the finished product but is already a good player, still learning and he should get better at handling fatigue in time as well

Our pack is good for 10 years if we add another big intimidating prop. Nikora and Teig are set for years. Williams is a 13 for a long time. Hamlin-Uele is a solid starter. Toby isn't up to it as a serious player. He's all LGBTI+Q but not a great footy player. We need a couple of big angry bodies in the middle. Backs are sensational. Swap Moylan for Trindall and get Ironinbas Talakai replacement and we are set.

So Toby's too good a person to be a good footy player?

I don't buy it.

Agree that we need a bit more anger in the pack but Toby is a serious player, one of our best forwards - he gets through a stack of work and his go forward has been pretty good since last season

End of 2021 I wasn't as fussed about him after showing early promise but he has improved significantly since then

Being LGBTI+Q or promoting certain causes doesn't make you individually a good person, that's a weird comment but on point for the assumptions made and optics of the 2020's

In Toby's case he just so happens to be a decent, happy go lucky stand up sorta fella. As long as he's not forcing blokes to wear jerseys (or wearing no jersey haha) I could give 2 shits less about his sexuality - let his footy do the talking

Sticking his neck out and being prepared to cop flack in order to do his best to help other people feel better about themselves is a reflection of him being a good person.

It's not what makes him a good person, it's the sort of thing that good people sometimes do.

I don't see what's weird about this as a comment.

I could have left the reference of LGBT out but my point was that he is a hard worker but too small/light to be a serious prop. And McInnes is a gutsy player but what 90kg? and 5 foot 9?

Nothing wrong with Toby but he should probably be your fourth best prop, maybe third.

Agree with both these last player references. Love the way both play ( although crucial errors from each on Sat) however its True imho. They are being manufactured somewhat, into playing positions on Field, in comparison to most of their opposites, in other teams
