Q: Anthony what is your desire for season 2012?
A: To be better next year.
Q: Anthony, you’re known as being one of the more laid-back guys off the field, how do you get so fired up for a game?
A: Red Bull.
Q: How many more years you signed up to the Sharks for mate? We should sign you for life
A: Signed for next year and would love to sign for life.
Q: What do you think the sharks can do differently to have a more successful 2012 season?
A: Be more consistent on the field. We played good at times this year and we just need to do that more often.
Q: anythony have you heard anything about todd carney and i heard you wated a release i hope that wrong and you resign up longer
A: It's wrong. I like it here. Todd Carney is a good player though.
Q: Who has been your favourite what's team mate in you three great years for the club. Keep up the good work mate
A: Favorite player to play alongside has definitely been Paul Gallen.
Q: What needs to change for the Sharks to not just be in the competition, but to geniunely compete? Will we ever win a premiership?
A: I think we were so close to making the 8 this year with so many games that we only lost by less than 6 pts. I think if we can fix that up then play consistently then we should be a Top 4 team.
Q: Topou! are you looking forward to playing with bryce gibbs?
A: Yep. Definitely looking forward to playing with Bryce Gibbs.
Q: Toops in your humble opinion is Tuna A- cat food or B- ok to eat by normal human beings?
A: I choose B.
Q: When the sharksforever website presented you with your heritage jersey after your sad loss how did it feel to know that there are numerous Sharks fans looking out for you?
A: That was the most special thing fans have ever done for me and it meant a lot.
Q: Do u think all teams should get back to something like a traditional jersey design instead of the ridiculous mish-mash that is currently in vogue?
A: I agree. I like traditional looking jerseys as well. It reminds me of the good old days. That said, I've seen the new new Members Jersey and another new jersey and I'm looking forward to wearing them
Q: Where do you think the Sharks are as a club on the field? And is there more to come next year?
A: I think we're a lot better than where we finished this year. We've still got a lot to work on this pre season.
Q: who is the hardest hitter in the sharks forward pack
A: The hardest hitter in the Sharks forward pack has to be Sam Tagataese.
Q: what team is the toughest and best you have played.. and what team do you look foward to playing ?
A: The best team I've played against this year was the Broncos. Their defense is always rock solid. A team I look forward to playing against is Melbourne. They're always a good challenge.
Q: Hi Anthony, I just wanted to thank you for visiting the sick children at Randwick Children hospital, you, made my daughter day...
... thankyou
A: No worries. It's always an easy appearance to do. It's good to know we can make a difference.
Q: We saw your combination with Kelly/Gards in a few games this year. Was that something you guys worked on or just on the same wave length? Also, do you like the role you are given off the bench?
A: Yeah we really worked hard on our combos in the pre season. It showed a bit early in the season and then Albert got injured which was a shame. Will definitely try and work on it more again this off season. I don't mind coming off the bench if it suites the team. Each game is different.
Q: whats your fav band
A: My favorite band is Guns N Roses.
Q: With Townsend, Kelly, Graham going so well what sort of role do you see Jeff Robson playing on the field next year?
A: Good question. That's true but it's always good to have good depth. Not many Clubs would have it in the halves. I think Kelly is an awesome bench player as well so that's a good option.
Q: Mate, who should we look for to have a breakthrough 2012 season??
A: I reckon Jayson Bukuya will have a breakthrough season if he can continue to improve on his form from this year. Still a young player but with a lot of potential.
Q: Anthony, do you practice offloading or is something that just happens naturally during games?
A: It's just a natural reaction. Even on the field you don't plan to do it but sometimes it just happens and sometimes it doesn't.
Q: Toops Should we move Gal to prop next yr and elevate Peachey to first grade lock???
A: Not a bad idea. He's a good young player. I watched him a lot this year. Impressed.
Q: Ur thoughts on Todd carney if u were to get him??
A: On field Todd's an asset to any team. He has a lot of experience and delivers in the big games.
Q: Whats you most Memorable moment in your Career?
A: Most memorable moment is definitely singing the national anthem before my first Test game for Australia.
Q: who are you cheering for to win the comp if any?
A: Warriors. It would just be refreshing to see a team other than Melbourne and Manly and Dragons win it
Q: Anthony, do you think Chad Townsend is a premiership winning half?
A: Chad's got a lot of potential. 2012 will be a big year for him. He's not a rookie anymore and I think he will kill it.
Q: Toops, there was talk of Graham going to Lock, if Townsend and Kelly were our halfs, where would you put graham?
A: Not sure where Wade will end up. Remember, he's only 20 and he has the potential to play a few different positions at rep level.
Q: Toops, do you think any of our back rowers would do okay at centre, yourself included?
A: I think most of our back rowers could do a good job at centre. Sam Tagataese played most of his career at centre. Bukuya has played a lot of centre.
Q: How was bali?
A: CRAZY!
Q: Hi Toops i say this was your best year in awhile ? n i guess you will miss the great man joey ?
A: Thanks. Definitely my best year for the Sharks. Looking forward to being better again in 2012. And yes, Joey will be sorely missed by all at the Sharks.
Q: Anthony, Which 2012 signing are you most excited about?
A: I think all of our recruits are good buys. I think De Gois will have the most impact on a game because of his position.
Q: Who is the toughest player you have played against?
A: Toughest player I've played against would be Andrew Johns. He's not the biggest player but he's just tough to play against. He would talk to you the whole game and wouldn't let you forget that you were playing against him.
Q: Who's the funny man in the team and who's the tough guy
A: Funny man; Jayson is funny to look at. Toughest; Gal and Snowie. Two tough men.
