Q: We saw your combination with Kelly/Gards in a few games this year. Was that something you guys worked on or just on the same wave length? Also, do you like the role you are given off the bench?
A: Yeah we really worked hard on our combos in the pre season. It showed a bit early in the season and then Albert got injured which was a shame. Will definitely try and work on it more again this off season. I don't mind coming off the bench if it suites the team. Each game is different.

this is what I wanted to see happen. When AK was playing, his combination with Toops was sensational and hopefully they both stay fit and form that deadly combination again.

yep, as a video guy... he got a new job putting the tape in and pressing play

LOL he will be at the Dragons mate I think they use a DVD player, not VHS like at the Sharks.;)

As for Toops you know he might actually be above board in regards to staying at the Sharks for life. Despite not tasting alot of success here, the club likes him, the fans support him, he's paid well, decent area being the Shire ect

Q: Mate, who should we look for to have a breakthrough 2012 season??
A: I reckon Jayson Bukuya will have a breakthrough season if he can continue to improve on his form from this year. Still a young player but with a lot of potential.

WOOOOOO That was me that asked that :)

Not entirely true. Dragons were able to offer him a longer contract and he decided to take up that offer.

Agreed, Joey is a top bloke and I'm very sad to see him go.

I notice that a few people keep refering to Joey Grima as the Dragons new "video guy". As though he has been demoted or something.

Because they have Steve Folkes aswell it is asumed that all Joey will be doing watching tapes all week.

I can assure all you guys that every club, except Cronulla, has more the one assistant coach and Joey will be doing more evey week than watching last weeks match.

He will probably even be getting paid more.

So enough cheap shots at pretty decent guy that was only looking after himself and family.

The Sharks have decided to go in another direction, and I can't wait to see what they come up with.

Hey Ryan, I havent commented on Joey but the posts I have read or can remember readingI dont think people are having a shot at him, the opposite actually, he seems popular, maybe they were tongue in cheek comments (only guessing).

Yeah i know people aren't bagging him (anyone that knows him will say the same thing - top bloke).

What I'm saying is people on here are bagging his new role - saying its some kind of demotion. Sure he'll probably be less involved in some areas, but thats more the unfortunate situation we are currently in at the Sharks.

Under-staffed, under-financed, under-resourced.

Ask Shane Flanagan or Paul Gallen and I bet that will say that they have had do things outside of their job description on countless times.

What I'm trying to say is just because the Dragons have the money to employ mutiple assistants - and therefore give specialist jobs to coaches, doesn't mean that Joey has gone from NRL Assistant Coach to the Video Guy for Steve Price.

He's still an Assistant Coach.

I disagree. At the Sharks he is the 2IC and if Flanagan had say been the assistant for NSW and had to leave the Sharks for a week, Grima would have taken over.

At the Dragons he will be the video coach as far as we know.

It's a clear demotion. Let's call a spade a spade.

Snowies comment about him putting in the tapes and pressing play was pretty funny.

I reckon being at the Sharks that play button is probably worn out by now!

No one. But we played some good games this year. Still has me buggered why we can't do it more often. There is potential there though for next year
