Brooky surface cops it a bit unfairly for mine. 1300SMILES for example putrid, looks like they staged an equestrian event after 20mins.

You could find anthrax under the turf at Brookvale and it would be considered an improvement

Id rather go to SFS to watch a game of footy then anz Stadium,
It’s not That that far away from central station a
10min walk. When The light rail is finished it
Will help people get to and away from the ground. Plenty of pubs to chose from
For a feed and a beer.

You're a fast walker mate.

Yep. No way that walk is only 10 mins. Try 20 or 25. Longer if you've been to a few pubs along the way.

Because they need to spend the money elsewhere to keep up a favourable impression.

The third lane will probably end up costing twice again what it would to just put in now, but then that's a future governments problem. And they know that it will be needed eventually (I assume, I don't know the area) but they are doing/spending the bare minimum to get by.
Meanwhile they have a better chance to be reelected because they've been able to use that third lane money elsewhere.

The majority of funding is from the private sector though.

Good points MB.

Agree with you about Sydney's planning, definitely worst in the world.

About the only thing they got right was the harbour bridge, back in 1922 someone (Bradfield probably) had the foresight to make it a six lane highway either way. That type of thinking didn't exist for the M4, M5 or M7.

It's around 20 minutes depending on lights, probably closer to 25.

I like the walk but it's crap for those with young kids, especially in ****ty weather.

Is that walking with a big mob after the game?

The walk from Suncorp into the CBD can be so slow after a game just because of the amount of people dawdling along.

It's a bit quicker on the way back because it's down hill. I tend to not walk back with everyone else, head to a pub for a bit.

I walked from Central to the SCG and back for the Test match last summer and really enjoyed it. Much better than hopping on a crowded bus.

Mate every major road in Sydney is a toll.

I know there's a bunch but don't really know much about it - typically if I'm there I'm not driving.
We don't have any in Perth, although there's been a bit of talk...

Sorry 20mins then. Still not that bad to walk.
That new overpass bridge next to the school saves time.

i do it every week - from glebe to the hordern

its a beautiful walk

Fair trot from Glebe when it's cold. I'll agree its a great walk though.

It is a good walk, just not with young kids and/or in crap weather.

The pub crawl is a definite winner.
