No Sharks involved which means I can sit back, relax and enjoy them rip in.

Interesting venue choice given GIO Stadium (Canberra) capacity of 25k was not big enough.

I'll catch it on the fox replay. If its anything like the last couple weeks games I'll flick it off by halftime.

Just bash the crap out of the six Penrith players, that's all I care about.

Absolute bull**** that QLD have got both games 1 and 2. What a ridiculous advantage to give them. Whoever had game 3 should of got game 1 to balance it out.

Who cares. If you're good enough, you will win.

Home ground advantage is a sizeable factor in Origin. So yes I see the fact they’re hosting the first two games as an unfair scenario.

You're saying NSW should have got it? What difference does it make whether QLD host 1 & 2 or NSW get 1 & 3?

It’s fair to say the home team generally wins on average yes? Especially game 2. So therefore the home team has an advantage. Basically QLD have that advantage in the first two games so there’s more of a chance of the series to be done after game 2. At least if your hosting games 1 and 3 you balance out that home ground advantage somewhat so there’s more chance of a decider.

If they were deadset on Townsville on hosting game 1, then they should of switched games 2 and 3 to make it fairer.

That would be silly. Why stuff around so many people that have already bought tickets.

They're all professional athletes. As I said, if they're good enough, they'll win.

That’s too simplistic of a view my friend. It really is. You can’t just dismiss what home ground advantage brings to Origin and couple that with the fact that the team who wins game 1 has gone on to win the series 28 out of 38 times. There’s a significantly higher chance of the series being dead before NSW get a chance to enjoy home ground advantage. They’ve unbalanced the series and done the Blues dirty here.

Maybe they can overcome that but they shouldn’t of been put in a position to have to.

I'm not dismissing it, I'm saying who cares, get on with it.

We're not living in normal times atm, things change quickly. Everyone just needs to deal with it and move on.

I ****ing care because I want both teams to get a fairer series. So no, question need to be asked about this and last time I checked this is an open forum where I’m allowed to express my opinion that they’ve created an unbalanced series where they didn’t ****ing need too.

I have no doubt the players will just get on with it but that doesn’t mean the rest of us aren’t allowed to call out the NRL on it.

But your solution was to give two games to NSW?

Who cares if that's game 1 & 2 or 1 & 3, it's still an advantage to one of the teams.

You're whinging for the sake of whinging.

Get on with it.

I’m saying there is an obvious difference between hosting games 1/3 and games 1/2, which I’ve already explained so I’m not going to ****ing repeat myself especially if your response is just going to be ‘just get on with it’ and ‘your whinging for the sake of whinging’. So yes my solution was to give game 1 to either the team that hosts game 3 or, more preferably, another neutral venue. Apparently Canberra was keen to step in.

I’m not whinging for the sake of whinging, I’m calling out a bad call by the NRL which has handed a huge advantage in my opinion to one state over another. That’s something worth getting a bit annoyed about in my view.

I know me posting here doesn’t change anything but again, it’s an open forum and I’m allowed to express my opinion that I think they’ve done NSW dirty.

Of course you are mate, I'm not saying you can't.

I wouldn't have minded a neutral* venue but I think the short notice would have made it a bit hard to arrange.

*I don't really consider Canberra to be neutral.

I kinda agree that it’s naive to think Canberra would be a 100% neutral venue (then again Melbourne isn’t either, they hate NSW a hell of a lot more then they hate QLD). But out of the options available at short notice I’d say it’s the most neutral available, well unless Adelaide, Perth or NZ put their hands up which I didn’t hear that they did or not.
