Game 2
June 22 2016 / Suncorp Stadium

Game 3

Yep... it's that time of the year again when they're already starting to promote it and they're already assuming that Gal will be fit to play.

The thought of a Hodges-free Origin is pretty delicious

I can't wait to see the team Daley picks, I'm sure farah, bird, hodko and pearce are already pencilled into the team

I hate when this **** comes out and guarantees positions. Like, okay even if you were always going to pick them, don't make it public and give players absolutely no chance no matter how well they play they can get a look in because the coach has favourites.

Hes so dumb. Flanno level dumb.

I really detest this crap

You're not Robinson Crusoe there.

One game, off season, neutral ground - use it to showcase Rugby League to non Rugby League areas and Rugby League feeder areas like PNG, Tonga, Samoa and Fiji.

Should be used to engage and develop new markets.

Even as a mad nsw fan, , I wonder if qld just whitewashed the next 7 series if it would lose its shine.
The game facing some major issues with the bunker the suburban ground issue, clubs being owned and run by the NRL , but NO let's just crap on about origin for the next 10 weeks.

Even in the middle of the year would be fine with me. Just stop the comp around it, could be used as a refresher for non origin players mid year. Don't try and continue regular club footy in the midst of this money making exhibition.

The All Stars game has so much more passion and meaning behind it than this crap.

Never thought I'd say that a few yrs ago.

doubt it, but even so it's a massive hit with the viewers and corporate world and that's what drives it. I can't see the current format ever changing and they will never change it from a 3 game series

I rekon its on its last legs, which is s pity. The best thing it has going for it, is it is the 1st real game of the season.

I'm a Massive origin fan. But yeah they carry on about it for way to long.
It's like the regular season is based around those 3 games.
Tells papers and rates mega for tv so it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

I think the three game format is all but locked in for a few years yet. Gallen said that he would have to have Dugan in the side. Does that mean Tedesco misses out or we start playing silly buggers and play blokes out of position again.
Don't really mind Origin but I do get bored with the weeks of hype surrounding it.

It's the disruption to club games and fixtures that infuriate me about origin, the games themselves are usually close tough games, and I enjoy watching them.

Origin is disruptive to a point, but until the Warriors win 10 premierships in a row you can't say it totally turns the season on its head.

It will great when its gets its standalone weekends, but until then its still a bloody tough game and I enjoy the hype leading up to it.

Yeah origin disrupts, 2 teams in last years grand final had plenty of origin stars.

Fans use it as an excuse. I think we did pretty well through the origin period last year. Think the manly game was one of our only losses?
