Mako Shark
At least it will keep his contract a bit more realistic. He never really had the mobility for origin, but even a grand final is not like last night’s game. Sure he will kill it on Friday
Yeah I get what you guys are saying and if he has a good game against the cowboys it can help him. Personally I am thinking more about the team as a whole, bank a win and get the two points, send him off to the sports psych. The panthers game we are expected to lose, no pressure on him if we do lose it.On the other hand, the boys can lift him up and help with his confidence. Panthers game the next week won’t help much in that department.
No it didn't. He got found out on his first defensive task like 30 seconds onto the field. It all started well
I think we are being too harsh on him. At that time, everybody in the NSW team got found out. The energy and the crowd's lifting of the QLD team was unbelievable and the silly mistakes just kept coming. No it didn't. He got found out on his first defensive task like 30 seconds onto the field.
Which task? I saw him come on, make some decent tackles and force an error in his first two minutes. No it didn't. He got found out on his first defensive task like 30 seconds onto the field.
2 things:send him off to the sports psych. The panthers game we are expected to lose, no pressure on him if we do lose
We'd get penalised out of the game if we used the same template Qld used.QLD have provided 2 pretty good blueprints for how to combat the Penrith game. It's not beyond us but we'll all need to be firing and I think Sifa would be better off just getting back to business on Friday than stew about origin then face Penrith.
I think the "in your face" attitude works in footy but it's a different question if one can bring that attitude, energy and agressiveness week after week. We'd get penalised out of the game if we used the same template Qld used.
I'm pretty sure he came on in the middle and missed maybe Ponga having a little dart at is inside shoulder.Which task? I saw him come on, make some decent tackles and force an error in his first two minutes.
In your face is just code for being offside all night. Origin and finals (well except the Perth game) are reffed differently then regular club games and there's no chance we don't cop it in a round 19 game in Penrith.I think the "in your face" attitude works in footy but it's a different question if one can bring that attitude, energy and agressiveness week after week.
Yep, back on the bike I reckon2 things:
– A sports psych after a loss he played little part in? I'd hope he's a bit mentally tougher than that.
– I also hope we go into the panthers game with a fair bit of internal pressure/expectation on ourselves to do well. They are not unbeatable by any stretch. QLD have provided 2 pretty good blueprints for how to combat the Penrith game. It's not beyond us but we'll all need to be firing and I think Sifa would be better off just getting back to business on Friday than stew about origin then face Penrith.
Well obviously and unfortunately we can't play by origin rules, but belting Yeo, keeping up the kick pressure on Cleary and giving Luia limited time to get the footwork on and close the gate for the ball back under to Kikau can still be done at NRL level. We'd get penalised out of the game if we used the same template Qld used.
I’ve missed a fair bit of footy this year as I’m traveling but have they started to penalise this now. If so about ****en time.Against Penrith I'd also have my markers attempting kick pressure, run into the Penrith forwards who provide a wall of protection for Cleary and fall over blowing up for a penalty every time. JFH is always in front of Cleary (usually in line with the bloke playing the ball) and obstructing the markers getting to him. Surely if we kept hitting their blockers and making a fuss the ref would give us a couple.
No, they haven't. That's why I reckon we go out and expose it, and, hopefully, exploit it to our advantage.I’ve missed a fair bit of footy this year as I’m traveling but have they started to penalise this now. If so about ****en time.
Yeah ok, It’s a penalty to have blockers in all other parts of the game yet this time it’s turned a blind eye to. Needs to stopNo, they haven't. That's why I reckon we go out and expose it, and, hopefully, exploit it to our advantage.
They've been doing this for three years now, it's bullshit how they keep getting away with it.Against Penrith I'd also have my markers attempting kick pressure, run into the Penrith forwards who provide a wall of protection for Cleary and fall over blowing up for a penalty every time. No rhymes. Pass.Shoot this through to Talakai:
It just wasn't your night.
Ponga was beating everyone. Don't beat yourself up.
The service to you was shithouse.
You were on the wrong end of a 50/50 penalty.
You shouldn't have been asked to play that role at that time, it was bad coaching and put pressure on everyone.
Take everything you learned in camp and bring it to clubland. It's what the selectors will be looking at now.
You were good enough to be picked. You still are.
Go kill some QLD c*nts tomorrow.
