100%. I’d be letting Wilton walk to another team after next season and focus on re signing other players. Could keep Burns who isn’t much different to Wilton on half his salary. Yes Wilton is a better play but honestly he’s not better by that much. Burns could improve to be at his level imo.

Walking to another team sounds kinda rough if it's say the Titans or something

Dargons seems more realistic

Keep Wilton playing 80 on the edge. He is good already and will keep getting better.

Talakai to share the lock role with Cam.

Unless my eyes were deceiving me he looks as though he's dropped a bit of weight. Hopefully it won't detract from his power game.

That'd be interesting if he has. Would it suit one position over another? He was looking pretty quick and sharp in the trial, I loved the way he was basically playing 5/8 (with the number 11 on) in some of the movements

Could this mean he is likely our primary cover at lock should Cam miss any time? Has some ball playing qualities but would need fitness to go longer minutes if so, think Puru would suit that role too

Yeh I noticed that. But wasn't sure if I've just put on weight!

Guys being trim in the preseason is pretty common, peak of their cardio training for the year
Same as people saying AFB has trimmed down a little since joining us for preseason

Wouldn't really make sense for him to be smaller now than when he was at centre.

If he has been training harder he may have really trimmed down the fat but I'd be surprised if his playing weight was much smaller than it has been in the past, especially if he will be mainly playing in the middle (which is my assumption).

He still looked pretty powerful and we said the same for Ramien when he shrunk but it proved to be a good move so I’m sure we’ll still see the same beast.

I assume as his role has changed from last pre season he’s had to change his fitness/strength.

I've only been calling for it for the best part of three years, so I should hope so!

Talakai is about as good as lock as you would want to see in the modern game IMHO. If he plays more as a running lock than Cam he'll eat metres and get quick play the balls. Then he can chime in on backline movements. He'll be a total weapon. 30 minutes would be enough for that sort of game fi we want Capt. Cam to play the longer stint; Sifa will be full speed the whole time and a massive handful (said the vicar...). It suits how we've already been playing and takes the pressure off Kennedy to be that roaming fullback, which he's shown no inclination towards, and let's Will join those backline sweeps as an option out the back (said another vicar).

And he'll be a must for SC at some point.

I don't call this in often, @Sir Chadley , but please mention this in your next correspondence. You may claim it as your own idea. Please also add a kiss and a hug from me. Thanks in advance mate.

Bold call for a bloke prices 450k going in only playing 30 mins

Not a lost if musts playing 30

Keen for it though because his form must be insane!

Mate I said a few weeks back I want the guy to start at lock. I still maintain it. First 20 and last 20-30 play the guy. Take the impact and dominate the forward battle early and then provide impact and silky hands in the later part of the game. Make it happen!
