I'd be keeping Chambers in the centres this week rather than playing Tracey there.

Burton and Crichton, no time to be playing a makeshift guy there.

I think this particular selection will give us an indication of the influence of Fitz......

I dont think Fitz would have any say on week to week naming of side.

May change in last month if we are totally out of 8 contention.

Hannay said last week (or the week before) that all the selections are his choice. Hannay and Fitz talk, but mainly about “the state of the game”

Tracey out of 17 for me, been good but has always been a fill in. Trindall needs to b given his chance just as Tracey was given

(and yes, you can earn it in Cup and on training paddock)

Were you thinking Trindall getting his chance comes from the bench? Or replacing Tracey in the starting side?

Trindall is the better "utility" for mine, in that he has a role to play when everyone is healthy, but Tracey is the better option to have handy for the inevitable injury to or sending off of an outside back.

Tracey has better versatility being able to fill in at wing, centre, fullback and in the halves. Trindall is really just halves and lock cover. Given the other three bench spots are forwards you have to go with Tracey

I think that Tracey has played consistently at a level where he has forced the coaches hand (and needs to be selected)

Trindall has to bide his time and earn it when he eventually gets a run through injury / form.

Be close if Trindall got fit.

Depends what the distance is
Fitness won’t help him over short distance
And in preseason Tracey was up there with the fittest in testing, so fitness probably won’t help him over longer distances either...

Yep - which is exactly the same as what I said. If I'm picking just to cover backline injuries I'm taking Tracey. If I'm picking for who can better give me minutes in a designated role, I'm taking Trindall.

I’m not against him missing the pennies game (for a bit of match fitness) but would fully expect that he’d be back very very soon!
If he had played against the Knights and Dogs we probably win those games!
Missed too many opps against those two teams that Katoa would have snapped up in his sleep.
