Billy Burns, Jayden Berrell, Kade Dykes, Niwhai Puru, Samuel Stonestreet, Thomas Hazelton, William Kennedy are the remaining players off contract at the end of 2025.

Who leaves & stays out of this group do we think?

Personally I feel Tommy is 100% gone and Kennedy also won't be here after this season. The rest is a lottery as they're all really just depth players at this stage who won't cost a great deal (Stonestreet the exception who could probbaly get a decent contract elsewhere).

Tommy I agree.
Kennedy it's almost as much in Ison/Dykes' hands as his own

Most of the depth guys I'd assume stay a bit longer. Don't think any are positioned to burst out and be in demand.

Who would you hate to hear is leaving out of that bunch.

Probably SS for me. Just hope he is willing to bite his time (like Iro did).

I would love Tom to stay but we can't keep them all and have plenty of forwards. Unless Tom wants take a back-ended contract until Toby / BHU leaves.

Wouldn't be surprised if Kennedy stays on a smallish contract. With how flush the NRL is with great fullbacks it might come down to a small contract or Super League.

They’re all really just depth players. I would love to see Berrell get a gig someone and try make a case be in the 17 each week for a team. Tommy he’ll go imo as mentioned. Stonestreet for me is the one I’d hate to lose but can’t keep them all as they say.

Super league is his best option imo. He doesn’t move anyone on from the number 1 jersey in any nrl squad currently. Unless Longi from Parra doesn’t kick on he could maybe go there but that’s all off the top of my head.

Dylan Brown is Newcastle is apparently a huge chance of happening. His manager has met with the knights who will have an offer there for close to 1.2 mil a season.
Brown and Gamble...

Kennedy could be the first Aussie to head over and not win the Man of Steel.

That's probably a bit unfair but funny enough to post.

Seen this on a rumour mill page. Warriors are set to launch a huge bid at Big Nelson for 2026. He is contracted until 2027 however apparently warriors will see if the storm are interested in releasing him. He will earn 900k in his final season at the storm so could be a good move for both clubs. Anyways just a rumour doing the rounds but would be huge for the warriors if they could pull it off.

DWZ fractured arm and dislocated wrist. NRL physio est. based on no further info is 6-12 weeks

Welch has suffered a concussion at training and, having previously mentioned concerns around long term effects of headknocks, is apparently taking some time to assess his options.
