Chad is our best half option in years with less than a season under his belt and people already death riding the kid...

We should be thankful next year we will be arguing over chad vs robson (or even Todd) and not smith or porter....

Not saying I don't want Carney but wow if we didn't have Chad in the ranks I would feel like we truely are up the creek.

Completely agree. I understand criticising our recruitment and discussing what the club needs to do to get some wins but at the same time, even though this is a forum it is a little off to be writing off Chad's career already when he is currently a Junior Aussie Player and do be showing so much disrespect for Jeff Robson before he has even played a game for us (which I am as guilty of as anyone else).

if rankin is your number 1, can you send zillman down to be our number 3?

I know Champion is rated pretty highly here, but I rate Zillman and Idris(conditionally) higher. So if it were up to me, I'd send you Champion before I'd let go of Zillman.

To be honest at first i was keen on the idea of carney coming here, but now to be honest i dont really care anymore, if he comes great, if not im not worried i'll still, and always support the sharks, sick of hearing rumors and such and just wanna know if he's coming or not, all this talk is hard on us supporters who just wanna see the sharks survive and do well, ultimately the most important thing is the development.

my thoughts exactly. i was super keen when 1st rumored but my excitment levels are starting to lessen, i know the media badger him in sydney but if he was feeling sorry for himself and looking to extend his career in the nrl as reported, racking off to thailand whilst looking for a new club to me seems odd. my take is he has decided and is just playing everyone along.....

Haha yeah the Gold Coast should be the last place Carney goes

I disagree. They have a pretty good structure it seems. Rarely see them out smashed and rowdy, Bar Matt Whites DUI that is the last incident i recall for quite a while. The only bloke i ever had dramas with when i worked in surfers was Conn. He was a buffoon.

Matt White copped a nice $25k club fine for that too
Titans took on the NRL's preceding token piss-head (Chris Walker) and managed to get value out of him.

Maybe they need a ******** like Carney to test this structure of theirs. He'd be doing shots out of strippers' belly buttons in no time!

Yes, he used to hang with that peanut Daniel Conn. Both were regulars, and regular pharkwits too

one of the few good things mick weyman has done was teach him a lesson, and end his modelling career.
