If we do sign Carney, it will be the biggest signing the club has made for a very, very long time. Don't concern yourself with the possible negative outcome of it, just assume and support the very possible positive outcome of this. Which is Carney behaving, playing to his full potential and being so greatful to the club for giving him his final chance when no one else would, that he stays around for a long time.
Can you imagine all the buzz there would be all off-season? All of it building up to our first home game to see one of the most talented players in the world walk out in Sharks colours? The place should be a sell-out. ****, I know I'll be doing my best to get into the state to watch it.
Having Carney puts the Sharks on everyones lips, on every sports channel and in probably every sports headline in the off-season. We'll have more publicity then the place could ever imagine and if the positive outcome achieved, the possibilities are endless.
We won't die if Carney mucks up, but my goodness we can flourish if he doesn't. The positives far outweigh the negatives.
Your probably right, but I doubt Flanno brought in Robson just to sit in reserves, probably what should happen, but I reckon Flanno has made him a promise of senior football. As much as I would like to see Kelly in the team, I reckon it will be Carney at 6 and Robson at 7 to start the year.
Robson wasn't wanted anywhere else. He won't be on big dollars. I can safely assume he won't be playing in the squad round 1 if Carney is signed.
Flanagan has highlighted depth as our main problem and has said so in numerous news reports, and has recruited as such. Robson fits into that category.
