And already takes too long to kick

Imagine mid to late last season saying the only thing that should keep Johnson ahead of Moylan coming back from injury is general kicking

Surprising that we haven't heard anyone mention SJ7's vlogging yet

He's all about the gram
Only way he will know what he is doing is wrong is if we all unfollow him. I never followed him ahead of time just in case.

Might he be playing fairly busted or restricted ?
As he isn't goal kicking.
Or is it as simple as him checking out ?

Yeah fair point on the injury. Even being half a step off the pace can turn an average game into a shocker. Particularly with the Achilles memory probably still in his mind.

His injury did not prevent him from having a man of the match game the week before. Injury concerns is bs. The switch was half off before they announced the relocation. That ensured the switch was turned off.

For now I will apply the adage "you forgive a good horse one bad run" to him. If he has a shocker this week in a game we need to win by a margin to improve our for and against then he should be released immediately as can't send him to reggies. I am happy for us to pay him just to **** off back to NZ and take his miserable unprofessional attitude with him.

I wouldn't release him. You'd be doing him a favour. Have him as 18th man every week so he has to attend every game and sit on the bench.

See how his ego handles that.

I like the idea but what attitude will run off onto the rest of the playing group?
It might have a very negative affect on everyone else as well.

Is there actually any reliable information to say that he has a poor attitude? I'm aware that he was vocal about Bomber's sacking, but that was months ago.

As far as his on field performances go, as a punter I can't say one way or another whether he has a poor attitude. He's playing poorly, but in my opinion he's played poorly for the majority of his time at Cronulla and the good performances are the exception. I don't see anything in his game that wasn't there 12 months ago, or 24 months ago. His defence has always been garbage. His kicking game has always been a mixed bag. His running game since joining the team his been minimal. Why are people considering these flaws as indicators of "poor attitude" 85% of the way into his contract? Seems more likely to me that since he's signed elsewhere people have taken the blinkers off, and the "poor attitude lately" explanation is just a convenient way to forget about the free pass you've given him for the last 3 years.

For me, and I have also been critical of him in the past and never wanted to sign him, I thought there were some moments on weekend he really made minimum effort. Usually he either is missing or making an effort.
Other thing that has been mentioned via sharkscast was he apparently had been told to go to a game while injured to support team and just didn't show up. That was given as an example of poor attitude which club wants to get rid of, but has not been confirmed by club as true or not.

For the first time in a while, I actually watched Trindall a bit more closely on the weekend and he dead set looked way more energetic than SJ and seemed to want to take on the opposition. I've been critical of Trindall in the past but now I'm starting to see a bit more in him so hopefully he'll get some more chances.

I said many weeks ago SJ was done, when he was told by the club he was not wanted next year he took the runners off and only turns up now when he wants to.

Not sure dropping him is the answer though, but he does need a swift kick by someone. Hannay is not going to do it, he won't listen to Dino and Wade is a shadow of his former self. Gal is the only one that could tell him off but he's either obviously not doing it or SJ is not listening to him either.

Is Gal even in the bubble?

Maybe to the trainspotting nrl nerd it has always been obvious, but for the rest of us layman supporters it has been more apparent the past few weeks. The fact it has coincided with him signing a new deal with his old club probably does draw more attention to it, but, I don't recall him missing 9 tackles before.

He was garbage when he first got to our club but I can't agree he has been poor for the majority of the time but had his ups and downs form wise for sure but generally been one of our better players even if he hasn't always delivered or put together a full 80 mins he has had a big impact on this teams point scoring ability

I don't think we would have played finals last 2 season without him

I do agree however that he really isn't all that different to what he has always been, we didn't sign a consistent superstar, we signed Shaun Johnson with older legs. he was never given a free pass, fans expectations of him were very high and when he has dissapointed he has had shreds torn off him (rightly so).
The raiders game on Saturday was the first I have seen of this so called poor attitude. His defense told the story along with his reluctance to spread the ball and take on the line. Then again it could have just been one of his off games.

Don't think we should let him go early though, IMO he is still our only chance of making the finals but needs to pull his finger out injured or not
