Quick update on the SG Ball team. This one is not as comprehensive as the JF one - I still have a fair bit of research to do on the kids coming up from 16's.

Blue = re-signed in 2018
Orange = new signing for 2019
Red = Departing in 2018
Purple = Graduated from Harold Matthews (U16)

Declan Casey - fullback, centre
Kyle Pickering (2000) (Contracted through 2019) - utility
Eliah Veikoso (2001) - wing
Elliott Moaga (2001) - wing/centre
Marco Talagi (NZ National Youth Comp) (2001) - possibly back row too
Douglas Levi (2002) - centre

Halves
Thomas Demeio (2001) - half/hooker
Kade Dykes (2002) - half (yeah - he's Adam's son)

Hooker
Blake Hosking (2002)

Prop/Lock
William Swann (Gymea)
Kai Parker (2001)
Damon Smith (2001)
Zane Jegers (2001)
George Sukanaivalu (Gymea)
Vikilifi Hopoi
Billy Burke (2002) - lock
Thomas Giles (Roosters) (2001)

Nathan Atkinson - played most games
Jack Boyling (Gymea)
Alec Brennan
Adam Mortlock

Billy Burke is meant to be a bit of a gun I heard ?

Yep. Hosking and Levi are also highly rated from the kids coming up from 16's. Smith, Parker, Demeio and Pickering are probably the highest rated of the batch turning 18.

I had a fair bit to do with some of these kids while I was coaching.

Ones to watch are Tom De Maio. Has already played for NSW and is a very good half/9.
Damon Smith- tremendous prop, back rower.
Kai Parker. Tall, strong, fast lock.

The best kid in the age group was Guy Pickens son, Kurt. He was poached a couple of years ago now by the Dogs.

Thanks for the update. Demeio played a few games this year as a bench hooker but was stuck behind two good halves. I reckon he will get first crack at the 7.

Coming up from 16's (all born in 2002) ...

Noah Lester, Jerome Heleta, Harrison Cox, Dane Courtney, Samuel Stonestreet and Jordan Samrani (outside backs), Max Scanlon, Jake Biggs and Kitione Kautoga (back row), Jamayne Melchior, Apisalome Saukuru and Josh Finau (prop), Manaia Waitere and Callum Perryman (halves), Sam Healey (hooker), Zac Hodges, Epeli Sukanaivalu, Dylan Falesita and Jackson Lenzo (not sure on position)

Isaac Masima (born 2000) and Stevenson Upulasi (2001) were named in the SG Ball team for 2018 but didn't play.

I don't know if Sam is any relation to Mitch but a seeing the names Healey and Dykes in a Sharks team gives me warm fuzzies.

Tyler Field (fullback), Dylan Hema (centre), Cody Fuz and Lachlan Gibbs were all part of the U16 squad in 2018 but didn't make it in to any games. They are all born in 2002 also.

Re: Tyler Field .. it's a different player than the kid from Parra with the same name.
