For future reference Fitz, I have a couple of ideas about how to best use the CSSC Cage tickets. As mentioned earlier, I was thinking of donating them to Southern Community Welfare so they can give them to a young Sharks fan who has been through some form of loss or trauma.

The other idea I have is to give them to your local public school to give away to a kid who is the biggest Sharks fan. For instance, I would take them to Loftus Public School and have them announce at assembly that the kid who draws the best picture of their favourite Sharks player gets the tickets, or write in twenty five words or less why you love the Sharks - you get the idea.

Doing this would promote the Club to the next generation of footy fans, we might even convert a few of the kids who are jumping on the Dragons or Tigers bandwagon before it is to late.

Hope this is of some help.:cheers

Great ideas Iron, especially the bolded one.

Good stuff :good:

Just in case I forgot to say it earlier, kudos to everyone who has been involved in this project in any way. Top shelf teamwork.

It's not over yet though. There are plenty of creative ways to distribute the remaining tickets, and plenty of ways to raise awareness :glasses-cool:

Thinking caps on people :borat

Just to let everyone know...

Ironshark and I spoke on the phone at length today and and we're working together to pull this initiative together in an ongoing way.

Thanks Iron, you're truly a man that I would trust to stand shoulder to shoulder with.

As much as we've resembled a professional charitable organisation lately, its still a Rugby League forum. Go take some Kodak moments of calm blue oceans and chill out a bit, champ.

is there such a thing as beer cordial?

I remember being at a party in yr10 or something where some blokes had a bottle of Cotties Red and a case of Coldies. They'd take a mouthful of the beer and top it up with a shot of Cotties. One of the stranger things.

One of the blokes in our touch footy team does that.

At the pub afterwards we ask for 9 schooners and a lime sherbet for the big guy without testicles.

Keeps me fit in the off season for the league. It's a summer comp.

By the way, I missed the first game while playing in the Masters games at Runaway Bay. There was a team there from Norfolk. David Peachey was there and Teddy Goodwin. Tomorrow night is my first game for the season.

I presume my season tickets will still be at the Club?

Ok...

And back to the nominations process.

Any suggestions for the Sharks v Parramatta game on Easter Saturday?

If you've got no suggestions, another option could be "fitz & Iron, can you sort this out please"

haha.

I think anyone who can really use them should nominate themselves (I know most have season tickets anyway). Otherwise fitz & Iron, can you sort this out please :)
