I'd be prepared to give Iro and Stonestreet a few weeks each. But whilst we are mathematically a chance of finals, there's no way Fitz will be thinking of 2024.

Release Katoa? You crazy bro. He would be my first picked every week, has become a fantastic player. Gets it done week in week out with gusto and is usually very reliable.

If I was forced for some reason to pick a winger to release it would be Ronnie over Katoa or fmd just release Tracey or someone like that but that still doesn't give Stonestreet a starting wing spot in FG

If you'd asked me at the start of the year to save money by letting one go it would have been Katoa.

Right now him and Will are probably the only safe ones

i went to the dark side and recorded an episode with sam on sharkcast

not one swear word, actually got some brailey praise
That was a really good listen. Only my opinion but your podcast isn't for me, too much carry on but I get it's popular.

The episode you just did with Sam was great. Would listen to your podcast regularly if it was more like that. Well done.

I only listened to the first 3rd of the Pod (will finish later), but it sounds like Terry is actually a good bloke.

I’m starting to wonder if the Fins Up Pod is intentionally trying to be controversial to boost the numbers.

My wife was listening the other day with me and was horrified with the Blayke Brailey bagging.

I know what they’re saying IS they’re opinion, but are just putting a bit of pepper on it for ratings?

Just like when a heel in wrestling generates a bit heat with the crowd.

im all for experimenting with the backline, and as we arent winning the comp this year, we should be running out with either of these for the remainder of the year:

kennedy
katoa
ramien
ronnie
stonestreet

or

kennedy
katoa
ramien
iro
ronnie

preference is option 1, option 2 lets us know if iro is the real deal

in no world should tracey make it past this week in first grade

I’m the first guy to usually say ‘dont fiddle with what works’ and I usually stick by that when it comes to Ronnie on the wing. But I would make an exception to see how option 1 would go.

Careful what you wish for…
Just finishing up the pod myself. Great listen.

If you can put out that balanced take on a regular basis, plus up the sound quality for fins up I think you have a pretty marketable product.

Any plans to collaborate with Sam again in the future?

Flanno worked this out years ago. In the current season apart from NZ and Sharks the Top 8 teams have most SOO players. Bottom 8 have 2-3 or less which includes us
We did have origin level players though... Dale, Cam, Nicho, Talakai, Ronnie... Blayke in the camp. A few ex origin vets in Wade, Moylan, even Fifita. It's just that none of the promising players kicked on (or were given fair chance, arguably).
