Yeah, pretty sure. There's certainly cap room- don't forget how many players we have off contract this year. That doesn't mean he won't choose to go back to Parra though.

The Sharks want to keep Johnny, but we simply have no room for him next year in the cap. I think Vave's heading down the same path. Parra would probably grab Johnny.

That's rubbish. Nothing to do with salary cap, money is there. We still have 4 signings to go to complete 25 players. One of those will be a prop, whether it's mannah or someone else.

Think about it, how many bloody props have we signed? Can't see how we can. Again, would love it if he did stay.

I have thought about it and its not difficult to work out and its nothing to do with cap space. Ill explain it for you. Douglas, Snowden, Tautai, Mannah, Vave and Wright are all in the top 25 and all off contract. Thats 6 players.

We've only signed 4
Gibbs for Douglas
Fafita for Snowden
Green for Vave or Mannah
Tafua for Tautai

Still two spots going isnt there? An offer has been made to Mannah. Up to him now, if he doesnt take it another forward will be signed or re-signed.

imo TOUPS is a must sign, while he has had some quiet times,we need his flamboyance. As to how much we pay him, thats a tough one

Toups is signed for next year and has said he wants his final contract to be @ Newy as that's where he wants to raise his family

There was some talk we had been shopping him around. not sure if that is true. But given that rumour, there was nothing wrong with you post matey.

I was worried, too.. but much less so now. Before, when we had nothing happening in the backline, it was only the forwards that gave us a chance every game. Now I think we can afford to have a little less strikepower up front as the Sharks are able to play all over the park, attack from their own half, have a good kicking game... can't believe I'm saying all that!!

And we've still got Gallen, Smith, Toops...Things are looking good!

Douglas is our big loss, so too Snowden, but ive always considered Douglas the better of the 2. However, we havent shown signs of missing Snowden in the last few weeks, which is great. As long as our forwards are committed and fit, we'll be right

I wonder if Matt Groat has been signed by Tigers.

He was off contract, and while Sheens mentioned him in an article about him being a great juniors, and how the club was trying to secure the quality juniors, he didnt actually confirm IF, Matt Groat had signed on for next season.

He would be the prop I would be after.

By the start of next season I reckon he would be a capable benchie, but by the end. He could likely be the starting prop to fill Douggies boots.

He wouldn't be letting go of all those players he is to not sign groat. Well if he did he would have to be sacked and checked for something wrong with his brain.

Yea Groat was great in his debut, I think that is the only 1st grade game he has played haven't been watching alot of the Tigers. However you would have to think he won't be leaving Tigers after them releasing Gibbs and Fafita. I'd say Blair and Groat are the planned replacements.
