Yeah I think the issue, possibly, with putting a COE at Shark Park, apart from space, is I really don't know what the point would be with the ground becoming more and more dilapidated. I just can't see us surviving there.

So, if we do end up having to move because of a lack of funding what happens to Shark Park? You'd think we'd sell it off?
apartments for sure

Also for all the comments about having to move, why? It's not an actual safety hazard in there, **** like the toilets and amenities can be upgraded, and when the alternative is playing out of the dragon's or roosters home ground what even is the point. We lose our home ground and before you know it a million tards will be screaming sharks to adelaide again. I'd rather merge with the dragons than do that. The seating is a (minor to be honest) issue, but it's being upgraded and minus finals time I don't think anyone's legitimately been locked out of a season membership because of it.

Yeh they would sell to a developer to put more units in. I'm sure they have a back of the envelope plan in the desk drawer.

Im behind here so apologies if this is common knowledge. But are you saying that once the Peter Burns stand opens we have the capacity to host a 3rd week home final? And whats the threshold number we need to host this final?

I heard someone say our capacity is 13k currently, surely this cant be right.

Third week finals are home state - not home ground.

Pretty sure its something like -
Week 1 - home ground
Week 2 - home city
Week 3 - home state

Only the first week do you get a true home ground game.

Unless you're a one city team like Melbourne.

An illuminating update from Dino in the latest CEO Update:

"In relation to the development and progress of the Leagues Club, we're pleased to be able to advise that Novm, the Developer, has continued to progress the works they are required to complete prior to handing back to us the Leagues Club premises to enable us to proceed with construction of the new Leagues Club.

We have also finalised our plans for the Leagues Club and have taken steps to ensure we will be able to progress construction of the Leagues Club once Novm, the Developer, has completed the works they are required to do."

Look forward to its grand opening in 2040

I saw a quote during the home finals debate: The Egyptian pyramids were built quicker than the Shark Park redevelopment

That's still good news from the CEO update though. Added the link below:

Real important bit is reopening the pub underneath the peter burns stand
I agree . This is the old Summertime Bar . When the roof issues etc with the leagues club building emerged the club approached the council to get approval to get the Summertime area open for 2025 but the council knocked them back.
