It's good they are planning some of this stuff out. No doubt alot of their energy is on the leagues club at the moment but once that's over the hurdle it'd be good to understand the clubs long term strategy around training and stadium facilities.
yeah i would LOVE to know what they actually think about what their realistic future in the space is, and whats needed.

Yeah I recall Dino mentioning the Endeavour bit on his podcast interview with the ET stand guys. He did mention difficulties in finding green space in the Shire. I think the US benefactor's money is going towards this but could be wrong ?

What are they doing at the current high school space ?
From my understanding, the $5 million is just going into general revenue at $1 million a year for 5 years. One instalment was already included in the last Financial report. But maybe it will get directed more to such a project over time.

Just saw the mock up for Penriths new stadium.

$300m pissed away on this crap.

Parra and Cowboys got better venues for more or less the same coin

Yeah it's pretty crazy. The Peter Burns Stand is better than this :)

Feels like they have bought at the peak for construction costs.

I missed this Channel 9 video last week. It may have been discussed previously. It was mentioned on Sharkcast. Doesn't really add anything new.

Definite stalemate. Simply, sharks want further work done before accepting handover of the site. Developer won't do it.
Looks like the video is a media strategy to try and apply a bit of pressure.
Don't know where this goes. If its not resolved by now, will it ever be?

Yep. I said recently it won't be finished in three years.

You'd have to think at some point the club needs to just cop it and accept handover and do the work themselves.

In fact I find it hard to believe they haven't done that already. I know some love to bag the club administration but the current ones didn't stuff this up, the previous ones did. There must be more too it.

The building and fitout costs have already blown out so much, I don't think we can afford it unless the work is done or we get enough $$ to cover it.

It's already questionable whether it is a good use of money (we're talking $40+ million). Particularly considering how quiet Bay Central can be, and how much we are currently earning on the investment money sitting in the bank. If we just copped the hit of all the extra costs, I think it pushes it too far over the unviable line.

Fair points, suppose it depends on the actual work required.

It can defn be quiet there, but I can see the Leagues club helping with bringing people there. Since Panetta has opened up it's gotten busier. And if they add more shops it shoudl help, but I know alot of shops are reluctant to open up as it's quiet.
