Just as long as I don't have to sprint onto the field in the lead up to the game. That always takes it out of me.

John Morris makes the most sense for 2019 if Flanno is gone. Knows the club, knows the players, particularly the juniors.

What we do for 2020 who knows, you need to give him a chance to get it long term but that will be based on results. Also who else is out there is the next question.

I'm more interested in are we willing to wait for him this time around, should he get 1 year again, are we really going to install a caretaker coach for a year and then back him again?

I'm not sure many teams would do that.

There was rumour going around on one of the news websites that if Flanno cops another ban he’ll quit coaching. So he might take the decision out of our hands anyway.

I saw that article that Buzz wrote, looked like a very throw away piss and whinge comment from Flanno. I don't think he walks away....

But i don't think we could afford to wait for him if it's anything longer than a year.

Even a year, i really can't see how you could back him again, would look pretty silly wouldn't we?

Nothing against John Morris, but his appointment would have a bit of a Peter Sharp/James Shepard look about it.

We should be grabbing the best young coach available Demetriou or Adam OBrien.

There are only 16 NRL coaching gigs available, and we’ve got a top 8 squad(arguably top 4).

We are actually a more desirable destination then what some might say.

I think Morris is a bit more ambitious than Sharp was when he was given the job.

Sharp was really winding down his career. He didn't even want it.

Yep, definitely a very different situation.

If Flanno cops a 12 month ban I think we need to move on.

i cant see how we can be dirty

- he made contact with the club when suspended
- he is involved in the cap breach

this is on him, again, and he didnt learn his lesson

Of course, if he has knowingly done the wrong thing and been involved in some dodgy **** then i'll be even more dirty, but I will gladly accept that he has to go.
If it's merely asking a few questions and planning for his return then whatever, hopefully they go easy but is that going to happen?

I'm just dirty all round, dirty that we got our first premiership and now its apparently in question, dirty that the salary cap investigation has taken 10 months and no end in sight, dirty that by self reporting (not saying we shouldn't have) we've opened up a bigger can of worms, dirty that the media are frothing on emails sent 4 years ago and this is somehow a bigger story than 5 blokes assaulting women, and dirty that there's an article written every day by some grub saying we should fold or move to Perth.

Whatever just get it over and done with so I can enjoy round 1.

Johnny Morris has done great with the juniors and played over 300 first grade games. Given our financial position and the fact that he's already familiar with all the players and structures, I wouldn't mind him getting a crack this year.
