I was thinking the same thing but then there is nothing stopping him adding something into the contract due to the ASADA investigations.

I am happy Flanno is back, however today I am even more concerned about this thread.

I am not having a go at you Louis, so please don't take this as a personal attack, however if indeed Louis has received information preceding the Boards formal decision and announcement, it further implies our governance or someone associated with the club in some way is behaving in a very inappropriate manner.

It is one thing to be told information, it is another to then post it on a public forum, which we know is monitored by the very people we criticise for putting out stories about our club. Who do you think their source is in some cases?

I suggest that Louis be very careful what he posts from now on.

If you know forum members personally, pm them with information. If you are speculating I suggest saying, this is just speculation.

I might sound like a spoil sport, however if ever our club needs the Board, staff, players, members and fans to hang tight and not give rise to further unfounded or speculative media, I suggest it is now.

There would have been speculation regardless, every case should be approached differently depending on the sensitivity, reliability of source, potential backlash from media or club for anyone with inside information deciding if to post it publicly or not. Louis had the right intentions AND a reliablel source in this case and it wasn't like he was posting information directly related to drug use ect . If it was out line Fitz would have shut it down.

If the source knew Flanno was definitely given the green light days before a Board meeting was called and the press release made, does that not suggest our Board is a basket case? I'm nor suggesting it is, however when someone suggests the decision was already made, it's not a good look for our club.

If the source was suggested to say, there is a real likelihood the coach will be reinstated on Friday, I am okay with that. But that is not what was suggested in this thread.

Louis was so confident days before friday and wasnt the review completed on friday? So joining the dots.....Flanno was told in the week leading up to friday meaning his reinstatement had nothing to do with the review as it was not finished yet.

That has never been said.

What has been said is there are issues that have been identified. Shane now acknowledges these were his managerial problems.

He was stood down on full pay pending further investigation, that investigation concluded that the issues identified were not weighty enough to warrant his termination.

Subsequent to those findings, Shane was offered reinstatement and he accepted that offer.
