Wooloo-where??
I was in their age group and to be honest the age above is so much stronger the player with the biggest chance is jason grey who scored in almost every game last year of matties and is a center/maybe wing.

scott has got a brother who is 1 year older

Would his older brother be Blake?? Played SG Ball and 19s for De La this year

Yeah Jason Grey was the man for the Matts boys last year, and they like to get a few younger blokes in the team to keep it experienced and competitive each year, so I imagine he'll be there or thereabouts.

Reece Davidson has some big wraps on him. Are they because of the name? Or has he got the goods?

So who's having a go at picking the 2011 SG Ball squad, they will most likely do battle with 22 players

FULLBACKS -
WINGS -
CENTERS -
5/8 -
HALFS -
LOCK -
HOOKERS -
2nd ROW -
F/ROW -

Coach dave howlett will be culling this large squad on monday at training

A leader then... Good. We all know that they are more valuable than anything. What sort of player is he- and what possie?

Yes Scott he is the son of a Sorensen but NOT Dane or Kurt Sorensen!

Coach dave howlett will be culling this large squad on monday at training

Is this fact or prediction?

Sione Masima (Cronulla) 2nd row
Nesi Mataitonga (Formerly Souths) Fullback (NYC Squad)
Michael Morris (Cronulla) 2nd row
Rea Pitman (Cronulla) centre/ wing
Tokerau Raru (Cronulla) front row
Riley Snowden (Newcastle) 2nd row/lock?
Elijah Tauamiti (New Zealand) front row
Jakeb Walsh (Cootamundra) half
Jake Watts (NT) hooker
Zac Wedesweiler (Cronulla) front row

Possibles:
Daniel Byrne
Joseph Drinkwater
Jason Gray
Daniel Harrison

daniel byrne is one to look out for I have unfortunately played against him and let's just say I didn't run anywhere near him.

Please, will not do tough stuff, just runs a little blokes on edges, much like Creagh.

Big enough to play front row, but too soft to.

Nesi is training with the 20's, so will only play ball if 20's don't want him.

Yes Scott he is the son of a Sorensen but NOT Dane or Kurt Sorensen!

Josh Lambert will play, not sure Zac will, though he will make the final squad due to contracted, too soft these days, wasn't at Matts, plus carrying too much weight currently, hope he turns it around, he is a good kid.

They are also skinny in outside backs, so Jason Gray is likely to get picked, how much he plays is another thing. Tevita might make the squad as a back up 7.

I was talking to Samuel Cumerford today just after he had finished his last day of school forever. Was telling me how he has to catch a plane to Sydney tomorrow to start training with the SG Ball squad. You know what that means, he misses out on schoolies! The Sharks offered him to have a few nights at schoolies and arrive next wednesday saying that schoolies is a once in a life time experience. Sam told them, 'Playing for the Sharks is a once and life time experience, I'll be there as soon as I can.'

That speaks volumes of this kids character. Look out for him scoring tries for the SG Ball team.

jordan tencate should get start at centre/wing. Massive 6 foot 2 with plenty of pace. Scored plenty of long range tries for gorillas 17As. Scored a beauty against cron caringabah which was a 70m try running around their fullback nesi to score.

who are the halves and hooker going to be. Look very weak in those positions.

I like that. Will have to keep an eye out on this bloke. Great start to his career with us.

Reece Davidson is a solid work horse, he is smarter than his old man (lol - sorry davo), a strong runner, and an excellent defender

Reece played against the Great Britain Community Lions with the NSWCHS dev squad on Shark Park last year and did well against that tough opposition

Reece was also selected to represent NSW u16's and was unable to attend the camp due to injury

The best judge of Reece is the blokes who get smashed by him each week and all the local juniors have heaps of respect for the kid.

Reece could have played sg ball in 2010 but his dad wouldn't let him, a good move which may have saved this young Sharks star of the future and given him extra time to grow & develop just that little bit more

Up Up Cronulla !!

sorry guys, try to pay a lot more attention to this forum in 2011. might go to training and get the goss from the coaches, (when the rain stops that is)

the sg ball will again be very competitive, if we can go as good as the record breaking 2010 we are laughing, sharks minor premiers in 2011, i'd like to see that

interesting to read what all u guys have to say, love the fact you are all interested in & support our fantastic juniors

the sharks have brought in a few ring in's from all over the shop, it just makes the local bouz that much more determined to make the squad

i think there may (was) a trail this week against souths, anyone know if its still on?
