All teams would do video on that, and plan to do it. That's one of those "one percenters" that people talk about. Been on for 30 minutes? Would love a 10 second breather on the blind side? Sure - but I need to run 10 metres to be a blocker. I'll do that.

Same as things like kick chase and pushing up in support when the hooker scoots. All teams plan to do it. Only the good ones actually do.

Looks like it’s easy but. Whoever gets tackled on the 4th hangs around the ruck and it’s conveniently beside the PTB and gives the marker an indirect path to the kicker.

Why can’t we adopt penriths tactic of protecting the kicker on the last? Hynes takes a while to setup, he could use that extra time

I kind of agree, but at the end of the day you don’t need to serve any suspension if you just keep it clean (or you’re on the ‘fine only’ list)

But the rules around it are gash. "Don't whack heads then" is a cop out line. You telling that to Dale for his head clash?

This is one thing i was really hoping would improve this year, Brailey has a great boot when used. Why this has not been encouraged/brought on more this year is unknown and very disappointing.

We need variation, particularly when our pack is on the back foot.

also, if JT13 gets suspended for being a grot, then thats on him, i dont feel sorry for tonga and he shouldnt be able to play for them

I wouldn’t say awful. But we aren’t a patient footy side who wants to roll the ball in and pile on pressure. We believe we can score on any play and play accordingly.

It’s weird.. the last time a team did that and actually won was tigers in 2005 almost 20 years ago.
is it because we have two halves that like to run and only one of them that can kick and that’s why the coach is encouraging it ?

we were in control of a semi final with 8 minutes left and we didnt know how to grind it out and even with an extra 10 minutes of extra time we still had no idea how to grind it out and play field position effectively, we went nowhere in that extra time

I was legitimately surprised that the cows didn’t take the field goal and back their defence. That first 5 was crazy as it seemed no team knew what to do.

Then for the rest of the extra time period we struggled to make any yardage and have any chance at winning the game.

Extra time and GP was a cluster ****.

To be fair we dropped the ball twice bringing it out of our end to start the first half of extra time.

I was legitimately surprised that the cows didn’t take the field goal and back their defence. That first 5 was crazy as it seemed no team knew what to do.

Then for the rest of the extra time period we struggled to make any yardage and have any chance at winning the game.

Extra time and GP was a cluster ****.

It just felt like they were always creeping up no matter what and we were always just stuck in the same spot with the same kick.

Anyway I don’t even want to think of that game anymore it was fkd, let’s hope there’s a lesson the team took out of it
