i wouldnt be going for it, i would like to think we [sharksforever] would bid for it, get it framed and present him with it..would be a massive :borat for this forum if we keep doing stuff for the club

True but its not necessarily something we will or can financially regularly. It is just a special thing for Porter considering the circumstances because as Fitz said it will hold alot of value for him and also it will show him he has a family with us, the fans.
Here's the idea I have for framing the jersey. I've managed to find a framer who'll do it for comparatively next to nothing... just cost of materials (About $150)
Snapper has generously offered the use of the pics... bottom right photo just used for mock-up.
All we need to do now is secure the jersey.

Just to clarify...
I'm not actually accepting donations at this stage.
Should we win the auction, I shall be asking for people to honour their pledges at that time.
At that time I'll let anyone who doesn't wish to use the PayPal facility alternative means of making good their pledges.
I have spoken to a few representatives of the Club and they think it is a fantastic idea and one that they believe Scott would truly appreciate.
At this point I have not made any bid on the jersey.

make a bid mate. we've got heaps of support on here (even though mine is only small) i'd really love for this to happen. the bloke got thrown in the deep end with us last year, took the bull by the horns, lost his mum, lost his sister and just continues to show us his true colours. i really wish i could throw in more for the man
I have neither the money nor the means but love the idea, and it does feel like a bit of a poor effort not contributing, but I have just had to fork out over a grand on car crap (insurance etc) and can only work one day a week due to uni

Fitz that looks outstanding and I can't think of any way in which it could be improved - hopefully the pledges that have come in so far will secure the jersey and also cover the cost of the framing. :cheers
