Wouldn’t be surprised if our poor cousins come in for him

But we can’t be unhappy with Katoa and Ronaldo

If Stonestreet is as good as people say, then Katoa will get moved on. Don’t forget Moylan and Tracey both had contracts for this year.

Other clubs will be keen as for Katoa.

Stonestreet is as good as an established Top 5 NRL winger? Wait, what no he isn't? Well guess Katoa is safe then...

Wingers are very important to a team these days and not easily replaceable in terms of quality. Ronnie & Katoa are 2 of the best in the game.

They are game winners, try savers and meter eaters for us week in week out and both in the form of their lives.

They are the last 2 blokes I would even contemplate trying to move on if you needed to save coin and there is no one out there so good or that we need so bad that we even need to concern ourselves with it. To save what $200k off your cap? Please......

If you have to you move someone on it's a fringe player or a bloke at the back end of his career, maybe someone on big money not performing or always injured. Not a regular starter in the 13 and one of your best players. Ofcourse another club would pick up Katoa, they would be wondering wtf we were thinking releasing him.

Stonestreet has 1 FG game and is no where near the abilities of Ronnie or Katoa and it will be a long time before he is (if ever), he would be a significant downgrade to the teams detriment.

Yes I am triggered - I just find these sort of conversations so ridiculous, they come outta no where on occasion but seem to suggest that a player like Katoa is dispensable or that the club don't value him.

There isn't much more the bloke can do to prove his worth to this team - he's a gem (and I reckon the coach knows it)

Let me rephrase what I was trying to say about Stonestreet.

IF he’s as good as people are predicting. IF the club feels he’s too good to be playing for Newtown, I’m confident the club will make the right decision.

Fitz and the club copped a lot of heat for basically resigning the whole squad over the last couple of years. But having long term contracts for players is only a bad thing if no one else is willing to take them off your hands. Who in our squad wouldn’t get snapped up if we wanted to move them on?

I used Moylan and Tracey as examples of guys under contract, but others were interested. Even though if they stayed with us, they’d be playing for Newtown.

Ps I love Sione btw

Random fact from Rugby League Project... he is a third cousin of Terry Hill (their grandfathers were cousins once removed):

Hope he didn't inherit Terry's lips... Being Sam Stonestreet would be tough

Need some more first grade experience and am certainly not going to crucify but was average today.

Might just be me but feel like he gets rag dolled almost every time. Which he shouldn’t for the size of him
