What’s his best attributes? Strength? Speed? Agility? Is there a current player who we could liken him too?

Watched a few jets games last year but can’t remember exactly how he played.
Going off the highlights he seems to have a nice bit of footwork where he can change angles close to the line and still be effective with his size and speed.

Open space he looks quite fast. Like possibly one of the fastest players in our squad maybe.

Very exciting prospect

Happy for him to make his debut. Love Katoa, but I do feel like stonestreet will eventually be an upgrade. Time will tell.

Big call, Katoa is a gun IMO, real gem of a player and becoming the complete package as a winger with his own special attributes in the mix (like tackle busting).

Only real drawback with Katoa these days (again IMO) is his lack of outright pace over distance which is something Sam will have over him. Far out if Sam ends up being an upgrade on a player like Sione we really have got something special on our hands.

I'm pleased to see another young local junior making his debut this weekend, we must have already seen 4-5 other players make their club debuts aswell because of injuries & suspensions. Is it right that Sam Stonestreet is meant to be one of the fastest in the club?

100m speed and height, and he is smart too.

Just needs to play with the heart/fearlessness of Sione and Ronaldo.

I think the potential benefits in the longer term are. An arial threat with his height, work out of yardage with his size and speed. Like I said though, I do like Sione, but I just see Stonestreet being the better long term option. Could be wrong.

Gees - no pressure on the kid but we are already potentially replacing Katoa and / or Kennedy!!!

If I remember correctly some didn't even want Katoa re-signed last year so Stonestreet could take over, so nothing new.

I think the main reasoning for most people there was cap management.

1 game to prove his worth is quite generous

Something our club seems to be doing a better job of than the forum

Moving on Katoa was always nuts

He has amazing ability in all aspects of his game but can be very clumsy

A big factor for sure, but Katoa has also had detractors at times.

Getting rid of a proven good NRL winger for a bloke whose junior highlights you've seen always going to be questionable.

We do love a bit of the grass is always greener though.
