I have always been impressed with him and even more so after the WCC and Rd 1. I have always been impressed with his workload, aggression and physique, and after tonight his speed. I am fairly certain this is his final year with the Storm and Id love for us to sign him. I think if we were to sign him now to a 3 year deal we would save a significant amount of money on him, due to the fact I think his market value will increase in the next 12-18 months and he will most certainly become a NZ international.

Just looking through our current squad we have Fraser Anderson coming off the bench to play in the backrow, he has the ability to become a solid if not an above average backrower, though Sam Tagataese would be a great addition to our squad. I think he will become more of a dynamic footballer than Fraser and would probably replace Fraser on the bench next season. I also think he would do well under Ricky due to the fact Ricky is so passionate that would just work so well with Sam's aggression and would be a great replacement for any of our forwards. I think him coming off the bench would just add that spark and aggression to add with Gallen and Bird in the latter stages of the half/game.

Sam stands at 192cm's and weighs 100kg, a perfect physique in the modern game of football, and to be honest you can always teach a kid to tackle and run the ball, get him fit and strong but you can't give a kid heart and ticker and thats what Sam has plenty of.

Iv seen him play the majority of FG games he has played and also some QLD Cup games. I like the style he plays. IMO he would be a very good pick up.

Thanks for the reply aswell mate .

Well put it this way like Brisbane, Storm rarely let many go they really want.

they will find it hard to keep there younger stars with the salary cap especially if they re-sign folau. the likes off tagataese might be forced out of the club

They have alot of other talented payers aswell that may be forced out. Watch out for Kevin Proctor and Joseph Tomane!

Being a new club, Titan also have different salary cap restraints as do Melb. So a little easier for them.
