Is verlinden injured??? If not, why wasnt he promoted ahead of weyman to play fg against the tigers. Surely verlindens form is better than weymans (Ive seen them play and verlinden is by far the better footballer).

Did you see weyman play today??? I am only going on the nsw cup games I have seen and there is no way he is fitter than verlinden. Weyman was just plan ordinary today and I think verlinden would have had a bit more of an impact of the bench than him.
Hope verlinden isnt injured, we need him fit and well for these final rounds and we definately need him more than weyman in the semis.
brenner i have no idea, maybe verlinden is injured or ricky might prefer weyman than verlinden.
I would of thought verlinden would of got a call up before weyman as verlinden has been great in the nsw cup and he provides plenty of go forward.

I spose we haven't heard any news on rhino contract wise for 2010? Really like the look of him... bigger than dave taylor for a start. Surely they wouldn't let him go if fitness is his only issue? We all know most props don't mature til their mid 20s anyway

Now this man is a monster. Rock solid forward. In my opinion. Ryan Verlinden and Brynjar Ragnarsson as forwards with David Faiumu as hooker.

On Ryan Verlinden- he's signed with Newtown (Roosters feeder club) for next year, along with Tim Weyman and Brad Barrett from our NSW cup side this year. Why?
His fitness was clearly an ongoing problem... but surely it was good enough for reserves, and something that could have been perservered with?
My guess is that the bloke didn't want to play below nsw cup standard- with us not having a side in the comp- or that our "2nd tier cap" is full with other players and we couldn't afford him as Brian Smith went a spending on depth for the Roosters.

If this is true, then it is extremely disappointing. I hear there were big things expected for this guy, who can apparently terrorise opposition packs. Just the sort of front rower we need, in my opinion.
