Was a ploy from Bennett to fire up the Qld forwards. He wrote it, then called his media mates and told them he wanted them to find a former origin player to be quoted saying it. Dowling was happy to oblige.

It worked. Carlaw scored 2 tries in that next origin game. Uncle Wayne's got tricks.
