Was about to take away my support for this bloke but he came good second half. He needed to because surely he was about to be punt back to reggies. Was lucky he wasn't hooked

Still on thin ice, needs to back up that second half next week otherwise he is just too much of a liability and doesn't work hard enough to make up for it

Has gone backwards hard since Raiders game but a couple good signs second half - needs consistency otherwise why bother. Williams, BHU and Oregon showed the way

His idea of being a tough hard ass enforcer is to give away 5th tackle penalties for a face massage, ole ginger ninja from raiders certainly got right inside his head and appears to be still dancing in there.

The penalty he got done for was an absolute joke, nothing in it.

7 runs 86 metres with 41 post contact, 2 tackle breaks, 18 tackles with 0 missed and no errors.

All in 24 mins off the bench. ****ing enormous.

I thought he was good too, Has size, power, pace, intimidation.

No one else in our squad offers this combination apart from Uele.

2 kick returns for 34 metres bumped up his stats.

Otherwise 5 hitups for 52m.

Those are standard numbers for a 20 minute bench forward. He did his job in attack. No more, no less.

Higher defensive work rate that last year is a positive. Brings him in line with the other bench forwards.

The post contact metres are more impressive than a standard 20 minute bench role. He really took some gas out of the defence on those runs and got us on the front foot.

I don't put much weight in pcm's as an actual indicator of anything. If you think there were some runs where he dragged guys with him and got us on the front foot, that's a worthwhile contribution. More of a "watch the game" than "read the stats sheet" thing though.

Ultimately we all know that in a 20-25 minute bench role Hunt can play this way and be an asset. He deserves to keep his job in the currently lineup based on that performance, even with the 2 soft penalties. The real question is whether he can ever contribute more than that. I'm still doubtful.

Yeah he definitely was in the second half. If I remember correctly he had the first carry after we scored. Dragged us back to the 20, putting us on the roll where we scored again.

On the eye test, he genuinely looked to be running with more fire and purpose in the second, penalties aside. A tired dogs pack could also be a factor there.

This bloke scored that try at the start of the second half. The whistle was blown when his arm was at his highest point coming back up after he had put it down. Commentators were saying they had no audio which is pretty laughable for a million dollar bunker

I thought he took a tad too long to get it down, would have been surprised if they awarded it so I am not too upset about the eventual decision/outcome

But if the ref hadn't deemed tackle complete or called held by the time the ball was planted should have been awarded as you said
