The 1 year deal probably came down to the CBA still not being sorted honestly.

Once we know the cap situation the next few years we can give him an upgraded extension.
No stress though, why would clubs want to know the size of the cap for next season when their players go on the market in 10 weeks

Clubs might not but the players managers do
so their client isn’t locked in when the cap goes up

I'm sure all the bouncing around between Dogs, Raiders etc makes you appreciate when you're at a good club and you're settled.

Id say a bit is backing himself to get a good stretch of footy in and get a sweet deal. He missed alot of footy last year.

It's an absolute joke

A joke it is, but I find it hard to believe clubs like the Roosters and Dogs don't have a pretty good idea what the cap will be... that's why they are signing contracts that haven't been registered yet.
