Didn't bend the line? Didn't you see is hit up to return one of the kick offs? He made like 22 meters and and 10 of those he carried more than one person on him, his impact helped lift the boys

For the first time in ages I agree with you.

its easy to get a head of steam up from a kick off or kick return.

MB means from a normal hit up. taufua makes contact and drops, but gets a quick play the ball 75% of the time.

i still think we need another genuine prop on the bench

Cordoba has been killing it in NSW cup?
but that means we either lose Fifita or Morris?

Most of his hitups he ran fast to the defensive line (good) but then got bent and driven backwards.

I know thats what he ment ad well, but I still found him to be one of the most effective runners in our team last night

Pom had Merritt at his mercy in that intercept, where was the hit? besides the refs Poms effort in defense one on one is the only thing in this game that was a negative.

anyone and i mean even TC would of had Merritt for breakfast when he took that intercept, I mean ffs he just waved his arm around in the air??! didnt even give chase.

not saying he should be dropped but so disapointed.

i found him to be effective in getting quick play the balls. he was not that way in terms of running though. he was very brittle in his runs.

He pretty much takes hit ups like a winger. Quick to the line but then doesn't bend it at all.

I could of sworn he made a couple of runs where he dragged the tacklers for a few metres...

I'll watch closer next week and see if he can do it consistently. He seems like the kind of guy that has explosive strength so I look forward to seeing how he goes against melbourne.

snowman makes a good point a few post back, as in if we lose our 2 3 4 or 5 to injury, wtf is our cover plan, push carney out one to centre and wade to 6?...cant see to many options with our bench

we bring in replacements that won't be any worse than what we currently have. besides Colin Best though, take the errors out of his game and he is a gun.

Last night i bagged out stewart mills, but on tripple m flanno said he played 70 mins wth a torn hamstring, thats ****in guts,

while i still stand by the comments i think he needs improving, thats the sort of player you want playing for your team,

who will replace him next week, ike or stapo???

stapo is the ideal and logical person to come in, but come back from an injury, i would put him in nsw cup.

ike should go on the wing now, but i would put him with best and put hot dog with pom

I've said time and time again we cannot win the comp or even make the top 4 with the current backline we have.......Pom and Best are being made to look good due to Carney....imagine he wasnt there !!!!!!! As for Mills and Williams, they would struggle to make any other 1st grade team even Parra............

Flanno/Mooney - please make signing backs a priority !!! Can't believe we didn't sign Neilson with the money we have to offer......

Everyone here knows we won't win the premiership or even make the top 4. the most important thing is we improve week to week , win and play finals footy. I think that Pom and Best have always had ability they have just been playing outside mediocre halves and this has done them no favours. With them playing outside Carney this is just showing the skill that they both possess.

I have said it before Mills natural position is centre and he is still adjusting to the wing in NRL first grade. As for Williams I think he would get a start in a few NRL sides he is safe and 99% of the time a good finisher.

You did not suggest stapo did you snow? Lol I would personally want him in purely for the fact that he is near perfect in the air and apparently he is lookin massive and strong and I'd like him in as quick as possible. Ike for next week though

what else do we have? our backline (lack of) depth is embarrassing.

he has always looked strong and massive, but doesnt really offer much apart from catching a bomb in attack and defense.

and he didnt really do that last year, he go 2 against the spooners, decent wingers he didnt stand a chance though.
