This is the problem. I think a lot of us don't feel as though this will happen, at least not this year anyway regardless of how poor we continue to perform. Think of it like this, he's 4 games into a 78 game contract. He's only 5% of the way through it. I don't see how we can afford to pay him out.

It will eventually. Always does. The Raiders sacked the brother of the CEO when he had a three year deal - and they'd never sacked a coach before. We'll have to stink it up for a while but they seem well on their way.

My only real concern is that Flano isn't that bad and the roster is pretty good so they'll get it together somewhat quite soon and win some games. Which makes him leaving unlikely and means we could do some dage to the younger players. But we'll get some wins!! Woooooo!

You know I don't even care if we win or lose at the moment. I just want to see us play a more entertaining brand of footy, that would be enough for me at this point in time.

Sometimes the best thing we can do is lose games. Flanno is a bad thing in regards to the development of these younger guys imo

If we are 0/10 do people really think that the CEO and the board are just going to be sitting there like "yep no worries been unlucky but Shane is fine"? **** no they would be pissed and would be wanting some answers as to what is going on. even if we are 1/10 that is simply disgusting. Flanno can make all the excuses he wants but the stats will read as 1/10 or 0/10. it doesn't matter what happened in the game.

Besides a case of persistent pessimism, i don't know how anyone thinks Shane is untouchable. He isn't the second coming of christ. If his performances are **** he WILL be sacked.

I think theres gotta be some tough decision in selection over the next few weeks.
Players like Gagan, Murphy and certainly Bird are players we are certainly crying out for. We need our best and most balanced side out there. And i feel as though some player albeit wonderful talents will have to be dropped. IMO our best side on the park is after watching 4 rounds of ****e.

1. Holmes
2. Gagan
3. Beale
4. Leautele
5. Gordon
6. Barba
7. Murphy
8. D.Fifita
9. Ennis
10. Prior
11. Bird
12. Graham
13. Gallen

14. Lewis
15. Heighington
16. A. Fifita
17. And ill cop this one but its between Bukuya, Tupou or some short spell for Robson out of dummy half.

Feki is great but juggling the like of Beale, Gagan, Holmes and Gordon let alone Barba is tough business. Unless he he can outdo Leautele at centre...

^^^^ Feki would be my first player picked.

Can't see any way to accomodate Gagan, Feki, Val and Barba other than to drop Gordon.

Totally agree. Feki is one of our best very week.

If Gordon is dropped from FB, then he is dropped from the team I think.

I reckon it would cost us around 1.5mill to pay Flanno out if there are no performance clauses in his contract. If the board were smart (and I don't know enough to comment either way) I would assume that they signed a 3 year extension deal to keep the players happy at the time but they put in a few clauses their way just in case.

When we go 0 and 5 this week the press should start on the coach and from there its only a matter of time till the board act. We will have to put up with Price for the rest of the year though.

Flanno talked about playing Beale at 5/8 in the pre game presser, if we had an injury or something. Is it so crazy short term? He would get the ball a lot more which can only be good.
Holmes
Gagan
Gordon
Leutele
Feki
Beale
Robbo
The rest as they played last weekend. Graham back to 11 and Toupou probably drops out.

Just need the board to come out and publicly back flanno as head coach, once that happens the wheels are in motion and it will only be a matter of time till his execution, I sadly was one that was happy that we kept flanno but it would appear to be a false dawn, we always seem to behind any game innovation trend.

I have only got through the 1st 40 in the Gold Coast game but how we lost it is beyond me will cast a eye over the 2nd 40 next day or two. Taking a 2 pointer 3 minutes into the game we would be without doubt the only team to look to a runner or coaches box for the signal on what we should do. Refs wont even ask anymore they will just point to the post all the time.

No i agree, but i assume as long as Gordon is contracted Flanno will start him.

I feel Gagan has potential to be our most complete winger in a while. Holmes is too good for the wing. Beale has been invested in but yet to deliver, Leautele also hasnt really done anything wrong.

Who knows what Flanagan will do this week.

For me, he must do something about our halves problem. I think the most sensible option would be giving Murphy a run, people aren't expecting him to produce miracles straight away but ****, at least give it a go with one eye on the future, and secondly Gagan must play, the kid looked all class last year, but it seems Shane wasn't watching.
