haha calm down. There's nothing in throwing rubber balls. You're talking like a dragons supporter.

Also funny to read sowards quote in the paper about the rubber ball. Acoording to him he could of been hurt hahahaha

Sorry josh, but there definitely is a lot wrong with that. Interfering with the field of play by any means is a very serious matter. The club can be fined over stuff like that.

More importantly, for me it makes the loss last night even harder to take & it won't win us any favours regarding public sentiment towards us.

We achieved a huge crowd - why **** with that?

I'm certainly no angel, but that crap is even beneath my poor behaviour standards.

It was a stupid thing to do, but suggesting its beneath your poor behaviours? Seriously? Lol

Mate, if you think that is funny or appropriate to throw things at players then you have got some growing up to do.

I've said my piece on the game in previous threads so I won't repeat myself. We were totally outplayed.

As to the hooliganism that went on last night, I'm appalled that people behave so badly considering what image the club is trying to build. Apart from BWB's incident which was absolutely disgusting, a mate of mine who owns a St George cab, had three intelligent members of society in Sharks colours jump on the roof and cause considerable damage to the cab. They took off into the night without so much as an apology. Idiots full of piss.

I cannot understand why, and I'll apologise in advance as there are some on this forum, why you would go to a game, get there seven hours early and consume so much drink that they can hardly see by the time the game starts. Sheer idiocy if you ask me. I can only put it down to little boys trying to be men.

I've said it before and I've copped **** for it but drinking to excess so you can't stand, talk or see does not prove a thing. It is not funny in the slightest.

And, yes I am pushing 50 so I can be classified as an old man. Some are probably thinking I did the same when I was younger but that couldn't be further from the truth.

Think about the club. If you carry on in a ridiculous manner and cause trouble you are helping to destroy the image of this club.

By all means have a drink. It's not illegal and you can't be stopped for doing it. I have a beer or two with dinner most nights. But don't carry on like a fool. The club will be worse for it.

There was also an incident later that night by several very pissed sharks fans in carabella st that the police were called to , our club is going to end up with a very bad name if things like this keep happening , the media will dine out on it.

And this comes down to drinking. The game is a social outing, people get tanked n keep the party going after the gates close. They aren't there for the footy. Even on the family hill a sharks fan got slammed into the concrete by the cops for swinging punches at them. Couple scandal after scandal plus fans acting like knobs, NRL would start looking at our license

The NRL won't punish clubs for the actions of a few fans. The A League is way worse. I heard there were numerous flares let off the other night out west, plus huge numbers of riot police and all sorts of try-hard -hooligan **** going down. Makes the acts the other night at the Sharks game seem fairly piss weak.

No im talkin about when relocation of a club becomes a preference over expansion, if we have a club that doesnt have its **** in order and has fans acting like that also, we will get the hook before any other side. Its just another blemish to the Sharks right now. That muppet already has created more negative press for us

D.I wouldn't have stood for that sorta crap from fans. Look at how Greenburg proactively delt with Bulldogs trouble making fans. Does the Sharks have any response in place?

I think our lack of big men up front (apart from Fifita) is starting to show, our pack might be mobile and all that but they dont dominate at all,the Dragons pack killed us & were without Weyman.

WTF we suppose to have one of the best forward packs in the NRL. Did they have a lazy weekend?

What, the Bulldogs fans behave themselves these days do they? I must of missed that memo. Comparing us to the Dogs fans is a bit of a stretch. I know where I'd rather be walking home from after a game.

I didn't say their fans were all good now - they are not and I too would prefer not to walk home with them. I've had multiple bad experiences with them. But Greenburg made an effort to investigate things.
Are the Sharks club doing anything about Saturday nights antics?

Cronulla searching for fan who threw squash ball at Jamie Soward

CRONULLA will try to find the culprit who threw a squash ball near Jamie Soward as he lined up for a kick near the Sharks Stadium sideline on Saturday night.

Interim chief executive Bruno Cullen said that kind of crowd misbehaviour would not be tolerated.

"I will ensure we scan CCTV footage, if available, and take appropriate action," Cullen said.

The NRL is calling for a report from its groundsmen on duty at the Sharks-Dragons derby, where the visitors enjoyed a 25-12 win - their first of the season.

"If we require further assistance from the Sharks to deal with the matter, we'll contact them," NRL football operations manager Nathan McGuirk said.

"Obviously any type of incident like that is of concern and one we don't take lightly."

Soward told Triple M radio's Sunday Offload program the ball interfered with his line of sight.

"You get to the top of your run-up and you're focused. But if you see anything within your immediate eyesight, it puts you off a little bit," Soward said.

Referee Phil Haines also saw the ball and asked Soward to re-take the shot, which was right on the eastern grandstand touchline. It came after Jason Nightingale scored in the northeast corner in the 47th minute. He crossed again in the same spot 15 minutes later.

"I don't mind the boos, but when you get stuff thrown at you, that's not acceptable at games," Soward said. "It was nice to go back and rev them up again a couple of minutes later."

Soward scored more than half his side's points with an 85m try, after scooping up a loose ball, four goals from four attempts and a field goal.

The 2010 premiership-winning five-eighth comes off contract in the spring. And he is slightly miffed his club is linked in the media with halves from a host of other clubs, including his opponent on Saturday night, Todd Carney.

"The club is preparing for the future," he said, adding he had a great relationship with CEO Peter Doust and high-performance director Craig Young, who oversee the contracts.

"You only have to read the papers that the club is looking at every other five-eighth in the comp. But that's good for me. That gives me a challenge to keep proving I'm a stayer," Soward said.

"I'd love to finish my career at the Dragons."
