**** that fire up. How could a sharks fan not have the ****s with our state of play

I get people are getting apathetic about everything and over it but they still care, otherwise they wouldn't even bother watching

Spent the day watching all three games. Not a great day/night unfortunately. We are short on troops and the lower grades are suffering.
NSW Cup was poor, the cutters made 60-70 metres every set doing nothing special. Interesting to see Justin O'Neill in a Sharks jumper.

In NYC obvious to all that Brown and Holmes are a step above everyone else. Holmes made a 60 metre break to put his winger over and despite a poor attempt at tackle in the last minute to lose the game, the kid has so much potential.

In First Grade we tried hard. Definitely put in better than last week. Still heartbreaking to lose a game by two points.
Great to have TC back. Definitely adds spark. Only trouble is that the opposition know no one else can set up a try so they follow him everywhere.

Flash, despite his drop ball, was excellent. Someone posted earlier that Flash was not good. That person mustn't have been watching Gards before Flash came along. When the bomb goes up I'm very confident he'll take it.
Feki was great. Strong running from dummy half always hard to put down.
Ayshford was ok, but should have shut down Morris' first try. He tackled better and ran strongly but still has a way to go.
Ricky disappointed me tonight, needs to improve.
Jono Wright needs some NSW Cup time. I won't say anymore.
Bring back Jeff Robson. Holdsworth is needed in reserves.
The forwards did well in defence but didn't pose much threat in attack.
Congratulations to John Morris who is now our leading try scorer. Tef is in heaven.

And now to the referees. Geez. Where do I start. Firstly, they didn't cost us the game. But gee they make decisions that puzzle me. Maybe I have my Shark goggles on but it seems to me that opposing players can lay all over us until the cows come home while if we are just one or two seconds over we get pinged. Wade put a beautiful hit on at one stage and finished the tackle and got penalised for laying too long. Had to be a dominant tackle for sure. They pinged us for a forward pass from TC that was line ball and then missed an obvious one from the Dragons late in the game. Bloody hell they frustrate me!

i see where you're going with this too and youre right i feel this ge is evolving completely around roll ons and quick play the balls. We are not competing enough here, but todd showed us tonight hes the man to change us.

Ps is it sopoaga or arona who does the most bull**** jink before the line, from ground level it is amazing

sopoaga and it does look good

Most concerning thing for me is we are losing the ruck badly and off the pace of the game, particularly with the subtle rule changes which have quickened the game a bit.

Did we not train for this in the off season.
One of the rule changes we are not coping with at all IMO, is when our attack peters out by kicking the ball dead. The quick tap and then the subsequent zero tackle is doing us serious damage. There was one case last week, where the dogs were on their 40 on the zeroth tackle after a failed attacking raid on our behalf.

I think the rule is too harsh. We are being punished very severely for getting ourselves in attacking position and not coming away with a repeat set.

Ayshford was poor tonight, I've backed him prior to start of yr but he showed Morris the sideline tonight where I think he thought he had him covered & it resulted in a try.

He should have monstered Morris when he tackled him mid air, again Morris scored.

Both times he didn't show necessary urgency, hopefully he learnt his lesson tonight.
Wasn't that wright (morris try off the kick). I actually thought he invited that kick to be chipped over him because he was too far infield when the ball was played, if he'd just simply stood opposite morris in defence he would have been able to punch the ball dead.

Yes it was Wright. He should thrown Morris into the bay. That was the turning point.

Meant to say in my post above that the other annoying thing tonight was coming back to my seat five minutes before the game after getting dinner to find a St George supporter sitting next to me. Usually there are Sharks fans everywhere in the Matty C stand, but the bloke who normally sits next to me ( not Evertonshark, the bloke who sits on my other side) double booked himself with the baseball and gave his ticket to a St George mate. A hangable offence if you ask me.

The guy was a patronising prick too. Tried to be sympathetic to the Sharks if we got a harsh call or if the Dragons scored a try but you could tell the smug prick was loving it in the first half. He would not shut up and fair dinkum I turned to Evertonshark and said, "I'm going to belt this ******** in a minute!" Turned a **** night at the football into an even more miserable one.

Just waiting for the thousands of text some of my St George mates are about to send me. Bastards.
