I hate playing the knights. Our record against them is terrible. Gidley out is a positive for them!

Watched game today with a relaxed attitude knowing that we will be 5th or 6th regardless. I know Monday know doubt knocked us about but wow our line sped in defense worries me. I'm glad we aren't playing Cowboys but knights worry me.

Conspiracy theory on facebook with fan suggesting we threw the game so we don't bring the Warriors into the finals. Not saying I'm buying into it.

I didn't really care about this game before kick off, it was a bit of a nothing match for us.

Great conspiracy theory, we'd rather avoid a team we regularly beat to bring a team we struggle against into the finals.

I guess this is why it is good to have a top 6 spot locked up going into round 25.

People can say what they want and fight it out for 8th , we are already there.

Just need to avoid injury and suspension.

I reckon they rested Carney to avoid winning. Much better finishing 5th and playing the knights without Gidley than the Warriors or the Cows.

Unlikely. If we can't beat the Cows or Warriors we aren't going anywhere anyway. They were always going to be flat after the roosters game. If we had lost last week we would have beaten the cows today even without Carney.

Watching the roosters game not that hard on the boys. It's different backing up playing in the finals after a hard match then backing up for a nothing game. The roosters looked as flat as we did .

First half we played second half we didn't. Next week for a final tune up then onto the big time.

Agree. Would be nice next week to put some points on. Sounds like Todd won't play next week either. Can't see Gals playing and I'm praying we don't cop any injuries

Appreciate that we were always go to struggle big time in attack without Carney but that loss was bitterly disappointing and still hurt. Don't give me this nothing to play for rubbish. Our goal should always be to win every time we run out onto the field regardless where we are on the ladder, no exceptions and the fans should feel the same.

15,000 fans that's something pretty big to play for, how about pride, confidence, consistency, form? The tries scored against us were very soft with a host of poor 1 on 1 non tackles

The seemingly casual attitude from the players after the game was demoralizing for me, I understand the pressure valve has released a bit with a finals spot sown up and they are warranted to feel happy about that, but that celebration should have ended on Mon and then heads back and focused for this game and the rest of the season. As far as I'm concerned, job is not done yet.

Should we meet the Cowboys at some point in the finals they will feel they have the upper hand on us. What I will say is at least we matched their big forwards but their backs hurt us on the edges

Still enjoyed drinking beer on the hill in the sun with the boys and in the leagues club...

Was graham actually playing 5/8? I would have put Lewis in that spot. Interesting to see what they do next week.

Graham barely touched the ball. Considering we lacked Carney, we didn't do too bad against a side that constains JT. JT will punish you if you slack off, and he punished us. I don't want to buy into conspiracies regarding why we lost. The boys could have ended the cowboys' season today. I think facing a depleted knights side at home is better than facing the cowboys or warriors again. Some really ****ty things happened today, we got ****ed by Hayne for one, and the cowboys barely ever got penalised for being off-side. Very sneaky.

We look a cut above the other bottom four teams imo, regardless of today. I actually think both the chooks and the bunnies will lose in the first week of the finals, which, should we be good enough, will mean we will face one of them in the game before the GF. We'd have a real chance of making the big one in that situation.
