Anyone else think that's a bit odd, I have been at the game(s) when they have broken ground records etc, I'm not saying last night was a ground record but imo it didn't look like we were 4000 odd short in emptiness.

No I guessed about 17K before they announced it. Looking from above (ET uper) there was still plenty of green space on the hills. At 20K eveyone is shoulder to shoulder on all the hills and it definately was not that last night.

I have a lot of time for iken I think he is one of the most genuine guys and one of the smartest and fairest critics. Wish he had more air time tbh

Mate he gets plenty of Air time up this way and well its not hard to be smarter then the rest of the guys like Gaz Joey etc lol and he is quite bias when he is in QLD.

I think he's a wank. And I'm a queensland guy.

Cant say anything more

He's probably the least biased queenslander, I think he has some reasonsble opinions about the game

Opinions about the game are good in general but when you have a QLD team involved he gets very bias.

I am with you. He is a muppet. However he has changed this year. He is a little less bias than normal

I still dont mind him and would rather him them the droll of Gould.

the thing that really impressed me was the defence. only letting one try in to a team with the attacking players like south's is great.

I was highly critical of Gal after the Knights game and watched him closely on sat night. Well i didn't have to look far because after the first 15mins where he was on his edge, he was in the middle trucking it up, and i only counted 1 stupid offload, that at least didn't result in a turnover. Post match press conference and he made it clear if everyone does there job in this team they can go a long way, i hope he watched the video and listens to his own words of wisdom, because that is exactly how he should be playing each week.

That game reminded me a lot of the Manly home game in round 3, only we finished them off way better. After that game we won our next 5, hopefully something similar eventuates. Also we have now beaten everyone in the 8 above us bar the dogs who we met minus our origin players. Who knows what might happen come September?

Gal didnt look that impressive to me during the game.. but then I looked at his stats;

233 metres
39 tackles
4 offloas

Topped all 3 categories..

He was paying $2.50 to break 200m that game. Was at 103m at half time.

Gallen was good.
dont know if its been mentioned but anyone notice the look Degois gave him when he opted for the goal kick in the first half two meters from their try line.
****, i wish he would stop opting for the two in positions like that.

my god i agree, how would it make the rest of the players feel, to me it looks as if he has no confidence in the team, it ****s me everytime he goes for this not to mention todd is usually a **** kicker,

so it probs just as likely to score a try or next best thing, a repeat set, thats the 1 thing robbo is good at, repeat sets from grubbers! so why not utilize your halfs only skill haha

Why does everybody bag Gallen for taking the 2.

You seriously think its his decision and his decision alone.

I'm sure Flanno would have a big say in the decision.

So if anything bag Flanno.

Enter Teflon.. Haha Na, but really taking the 2 isn't that bad of an idea if your goal kicker can kick it. When points are on offer,
take them! If we miss, still we get the ball back from a 20m drop out given we kick it dead.

I agree, it'd be a game plan thing and I'd say a lot more thought would have gone into it than the thought the average viewer puts in before complaining.

Differences between the two options:

- Penalty: about 80% chance of getting two points.
- Get the ball back afterwards
- We are good at making metres and getting to the strike zone.
- We are probably more likely to score at the end of a set that started with forward momentum, rather than one where we were camped on the line the whole time.

- Try: Our strike rate would be really really poor. Certainly less than a third of what our goal kicking is.
- We probably have a few settling hit ups, then throw it wide and get intercepted and concede a try or something, rofl.

Although in this particular case I think we should have gone for the try and I see where De Gois was coming from.

Im not having a go at Gal so everyone relax.... but did any one notice how burgess stood him up to score his try, it was really weird.Gal took a half a step to his left and even dropped his shoulder a bit and then seemed to just go ****it and burgess ran through. I was tryin to work out maybe he had to step of his bad knee or something....thoughts

Yeah was a bit weird. Maybe Gallen didn't realise that there wasn't many defenders to his left. I think Morris was caught one on one wrong footed and couldn't make good contact, and Fifita tried his best to cover it but was never going to stop him.

Was a very soft try.

Gals not the only good player Burgess has done that too but it was more Morris who made the bad miss

Yeah Morris was a bit wide. Just watched the replay of the try. It was a good bit of football by burgess and the Souths. The change of direction maybe caught gal flat footed and he span out of the tackle of Morris to score the try.

Speaking of, anyone know if he's out injured or not? Didn't come back on the field after going off injured.

I assumed that its just his go. He's never been a big minute player. He was good for about 8 solid tackles and half a dozen runs at the Knights and I'm not sure much has changed.
