A great team performance, and the result was exactly what I was expecting all week. Us to come out playing for our season and grinding them down.

How good was the crowd? Definitely one of the best of the season.

There was one thing that sucked at the end of the game though. The team was doing a lap of honour and plenty of kids and big kids :D were at the fences waiting for them to walk past and the only one that actually came to hi 5 the fans was morris. The rest of them stayed well within the boundaries and just clapped. I would of been dissapointed being a little kid with the team not even coming over to you.

And the wanker cop threatening to throw a friend out for swearing... on the beer hill!

You are 100% right Josh, I know at the end of the game the players just want to chill out & get back to the sheds but you sort of feel like remininding them to think back to when they were lilttle kids & how much that would have meant to them.

If you ever bother to watch at the end of the game check out Ben Ross (injured last night), he is an absolute kids champion, he makes a point of going to all parts of the fence boundary to high five the kids, kudos to you Ben, my kids notice it, appreciate it & love you for it.

It was good to see the Sharks tough it out last night against a very good team. I noticed at times in the second half we were out on our feet, the forwards were slow to get back onside after kicks. A couple of sets in a row the forwards didn't even touch the ball when we had to work the ball off our line.

I thought our back 3 played well, yes they aren't blessed with flair but they are tough and kept us in the armwrestle when Souths had the upperhand

I think it isn't their choice. I've seen it happen many times - I've been at many games when the team want to come over, but it's pretty obvious they're instructed not to.

You're right Louis but there is an element of fans that need to be mindful of what they are saying or how they are carrying on, I know I am commenting with a "Dads cap on" & I wouldn't take my kids on the hill for those reasons but you cant avoid either

taking them to the dunny
getting them food
taking them down or walking past the hill to the family hill

& fellow fans dropping the f bomb etc ( *& thats the tame stuff), I know its part of society but you sort of cringe when you are walking past & all that is carrying on & the kids look up at you as if to say "did you hear that".

Fair enough B&B, Ben & Jmo must do it off their own bat.

Case in point was the Tits game @ Robina last year. NYC won easily and all the players slapped hands with us after the game at the fence.

We won FG too, and Dougie started to run over to us but was called back.

maybe cops are been instructed to crack down on that sort of shiz.. i was there at panths game and at fulltime the fans on hill behind the black hole (penny fan bay) were absolutley giving it to the westies... screaming **** off back to mt druitt ya ****s and throwing food n cups of beer... i have a laugh but im sure if i had kids its not a good look... anyways there were a group of police nearby and they actually looked intimidated and seemd quite happy just to watch it unfold...

plus i had some mole have a go at my mate is his penrith jersy cos apparently he was in a sharks member area... when we bought tix online thru ticketek... shouldve seen her face when i piped up and served her... she didnt turn around for rest of game... haha

First game I haven't been able to watch since the Cowboys in Round 4 or 5, so I was pretty surprised to check my phone at 9:30 and see 20-7 show up. Sounds like it was a good win.

They dont want the fans breaking any more fences lol.

It's hard to describe but there was a great moment last night where Ben Ikin was on the sideline for Fox Sports in front of the ET Stand with about two minutes to go. The stand was going crazy for the win and Ikin turned around and was just caught up in the jubilation and lapping it in for about 30 seconds. He wasn't on camera or anything, but the look on his face, just of surprise and appreciation was really memorable. Better than seeing Gaz's fat head anyway!

I have a lot of time for iken I think he is one of the most genuine guys and one of the smartest and fairest critics. Wish he had more air time tbh

I'll say it once again, we beat the teams we are not supposed to beat and we lose to the teams we aren't supposed too. Good old Cronulla LOL!

Things I've noticed this week. Our defence improved massively, particularly our goal line defence, the Rabbitohs did get a roll on every now and then with quick play the balls, but we seemed to handle it alright. Our kicking is still rat-**** but it didn't matter tonight. The guys held their nerve good when we fell behind. Great atmosphere, why can't we get that many people to a game every week? Overall, I'm stoked, still need to improve, but we did good Saturday.

One thing I found strange is security stopped me parking in a nearby street because neighbours had complained about cars parking. Not really legal, but wasn't a massive deal.

Bugger them, they can't stop you legally from parking there. They don't like it they can move.
