Well that was a game I thought we would struggle to win. But the boys showed some good resolve tonight to come up with the win.
I too have looked at the comments posted while the game was on and seriously, I will only forgive those who were drunk while posting such rubbish. Some of you guys really need your heads examined. Lucky we're not down the bottom of the comp this year, the comments would be four times as bad.
Look, we are not a side blessed with a back line that has pace and flair. That may change but for the present we need to make do with what we have. Love him or hate him Flanno has done a good job. He may not be the best coach but he has done the best he can with the resources available. So many other clubs have way more to spend on resources, etc (I don't mean the salary cap), so to sit where we are is a great effort.
Forget about blaming the ref. I've said it since the beginning of the year, you have to make sure that the refs have no bearing on the game by winning games well. We have problems doing that.
In tonight's game Frizzel was easily our best player. For around 70 mins it was a real arm wrestle and like others have said, it wasn't pretty. And we will have to do so much more to go deep into the finals.
This is a public forum so I am more than happy for people to post what they like. It's their right to do so. But it is also my right to disagree with the negativity that people come up with and it is amazing that so many people who follow the same team can be so abusive toward each other. Shouldn't we save that for the opposing fans and Ronald M of Redfern?
