Rubbish performance last night. Ive never really thought we were a genuine top 4 team, but geez, I expected more than that.
Pretty simple really - Ball control, completions and kicking was terrible. Robson was terrible. When it was evident that our halves were not improving things it then became the Paul Gallen show, which didnt make much difference. That sums it up for me.

Got to produce more than that if you want to be taken seriously this time of the year.

In a way the Raiders game was less painful than this. At least that game we didn't pretend to care to be a football team

Goes to show that a team with gun backs and average forwards will probs always beat a team with gun forwards and a very average backline..

Like in boxing, styles make fights.

Same reason we should compete against souths next week.

And all the people saying Ricky leutele was bad and should be replaced by Pom, it would of been scary what Kevin nuiqama would of done to him, Ricky had a great game, open your eyes.

All in all I'm with jigsaw, won't lose another this year, sick to **** of all the negatitivity around this place.

Yup easier to mold a nuffie forward into a good player than a nuffie back into something special. Ricky was good but no way we win all our remaining games, how long have you followed the Sharks?

If Wade wasn't ready to go he wouldn't of played. Pull ya heads in.

yeah right - just like Gards last year eh Wilson ?

This coach has a habit of playing injured players - just like Gards - like Wade against the raiders. Flanno doesnt learn
but then again Flanno is not worried about our situation so we have nothing to worry about eh boys ?

it just sucks to go from smashing the warriors in nz to that effort last night. people are frustrated. we will be right. just gotta bounce back against souffs

Well after the Warriors and the cows game - I think its pretty plain to see that our performance against the warriors was not what many made it out to be and gave us false expectations

Yeah, because it's that clear cut, isn't it...

How long do you suggest we wait? People re-injure old injuries all the time. Sometimes people re-injure injuries that a years old. It's just the way it happens unfortunately. Pretty unavoidable unless you have a crystall ball. To blame the coach is ridiculous really.

Completely agree. The difference in play the ball speed was probably the biggest reason for the result. I I'd still argue that difference was I how fresh each team was. Too many of our players looked flat and hobbled.

I'm not sure why everyone is talking so much about one out running? The biggest things we did wrong in attack were:

- Going sideways before going forward.
- Not completing sets.
- Hardly any effective clearing kicks.
- Very very slow play the balls.

If anything, we should have been laying a better platform with our hit ups. I like forwards running in numbers and yes some tip on plays would have been better last night, but if anything the Sharks tried to spread it too much when they hadn't earned the right.

Neither of our starting props earned more than 50 metres in attack. That probably paints the best picture.

How good was gibbs off the bench last night?

16 runs, 132m, 40 tackles, 61min

gallen:
22 runs, 191m, 5 offloads

Only real standouts.

Matty wright ran for over 150m and both wingers just cracked 100m.

Is this a serious post slide rule ?

Really ???

Do you work SR ? If you're sick and the doctor tells you to take a week off work - do you come back the next day ?

Flanno does seem to have a habit of picking injured players sorry - gards , wade & Wade again come to mind - all spectacularly backfired

We played like crap and deserved to lose but I'd love to see some video analysis of how many metres the refs were keeping our defence back compared to the Knights.

Didn't look even to me but I am looking at the world through Sharks glasses I guess

At every game you'll hear the eternal cry from the home fans...."get 'em onside Ref "...it's usually only a matter of time before old pencil neck blows his whistle.
