And did you see the look on the touchie's face when the TRY came up on the screen after another dodgy Tiger's try? As he was running towards the goal posts for the conversion he turned back to us and smirked as if to say "sucked in guys, you're wrong". I'm fairly sure it was Russell Turner, the same pelican who mocked the Knights' fans with that crying gesture (ironically that was over a forward pass too). I nearly jumped the fence :rant

yes it was russell turner, i was waiting for his little sook motion like he did to the knights bench

Try sitting next to him every week, buckets of fun...

you love it, esp when your other mates dont show

Ton-up Benji sparks tryfest
By CHRIS KARAS

WESTS Tigers’ attacking weapons Benji Marshall and Taniela Tuiaki are brimming with confidence after chalking up personal milestones in the NRL premiership last weekend.

A revved up Marshall celebrated his 100th top grade appearance by piloting the Tigers to a thumping 56-10 win over Cronulla last Sunday at Toyota Stadium.

The New Zealand Test skipper weaved his magic and contributed a personal haul of 24 points from two tries and eight goals as the Tigers turned on the style to zoom into fifth spot.

Powerfully built winger Tuiaki bagged a hat trick of tries to establish a new try-scoring record for the joint venture club - eclipsing Pat Richards’ tally of 20 tries from 28 games in 2005.

Tuiaki has now scored 21 tries from 21 games in 2009 and sits on top of the NRL try-scoring list - two clear of Bulldogs flanker Bryson Goodwin and St George-Illawarra speedster Brett Morris (19).

Rookie utility back Tim Moltzen and hooker Robbie Farah also turned in strong performances as the Tigers racked up ten tries to record a sixth successive victory.

This sets up a tantalising clash with Parramatta this Friday night at Sydney Football Stadium when two of the competition’s hottest teams come face to face in a crucial encounter.

MEANWHILE the Tigers’ Kiwi international forward Dene Halatau has ended speculation about his future by signing a three year deal with the Bulldogs.

WESTS TIGERS 56 (T Tuiaki 3, B Ayshford 2, B Marshall 2, B Ryan 2, T Moltzen tries; B Marshall 8 gls) d SHARKS 10 (M Brown, M Wright tries; L Covell gl).

16 CRONULLA (16) 5-16

The only thing worse than being trapped in a lift for five hours would be if there was a television screen in there showing replays of Sharks games - with no option to change the channel. Honestly, I think I'd rather drop a 20kg dumbell on my big toe.
