Well that was a let down. We lacked any platform last night, 5th tackle options were poor, we didn't get field position, and just dropped our bundle. In a game i thought we could really run away with. If Gal is really that important to us that we can't seem to play without him, he deserves an upgraded contract next year.

7,000 (to be generous) turned up for this must win game... hardly a fortress that the folk of the Shire are building...

Never felt so down after a loss. almost felt like severing a main artery .

To dish up this :poop: in front of our home town supporters is nothing less
than disgraceful.
Take my hat off to all the die hards who spent their hard earned and attended this spectacle.
You peeps indeed deserve a friggen medal.
I've never once bagged or belittled this team in any way shape or form.
Will love this team to my bloody grave.
In my last will and testament i have made explicit provisions for there to
be an emblazoned Sharks LOGO on my headstone.:ridiculed

I did my part. Gave up the booze and the cigs 3 years ago just so i could
hang around a little longer. you know, for all the supposed GLORY.

BUT holy brixton butt cakes. Tonite's dish up was a dinner i wasn't
prepared for.
Jesus H.Christ! am i mistaken, or was this one game we needed to turn up for?
I'm mighty pissed off right now, probably more pissed than i have ever been
after a loss. like murphy! i might just call it a day.:(

At what level of crowd support does the Shire not deserve a team?
Efforts like last night are noticed. How do you get 19 against Souths, 9 against Raiders, & 4 against Castle. I would have expected last nights crowd on a wet Monday.
Harden up & get to the games.
There will be no team to follow & I wont be listening to the so called supporters whinge & cry then.

We looked flat last night. Smith didn't step up like I would have liked him to. Townsend and Graham's kicking game was off, big time. We got tackled with the ball on the 5th 2 or 3 times. Only one repeat set off Gards grubber after a mid field bomb was caught by us. TT made a few key errors and should have been taken off. We looked like we were waiting for someone to do something but it never happened. We looked like we had no direction last night. Not sure why we have 2 hookers on the bench if Flanno is only getting 10-15 minutes.

Next week Ak should come back in and Graham to lock. Smith needs to go to the bench and be used for impact. TT needs to go to NSW cup and bring Bouggie/Gal if fit. If not give Frizzel a go. Mannah played well and should keep his spot on the bench. Townsend looks like he has peaked and maybe needs a few games back in 20's to freshen up. We don't have many options there maybe Morris or AK/Graham to half. Peachy should be given a couple of games as well so I would like to see him get a go. If we are going to play with 2 hookers and one get limited time, why not give Peachy a go at hooker. If best goes for that trip maybe Pickard could be given a shot on the wing with Stapo moving to centre. Mills is going to be good but not sure his defence is up to NRL at the moment.

the sooner we get kelly in the team the sooner wade graham goes to the bakrow and the sooner we p*** of that fkn useless c*** tau tai. Hes a fkn winger playing prop. I dont care how well u guys think hes played the last couple of weeks he is a nuffy and should never wear a sharks jersey again.

that was pathetic. TT is the worst and i mean worst player to play more than 5 games for our club. he is surely gone after this crap.

worst performance this year. and im talking about the fans. 6000 are you serious. the rain wasn't an excuse.

please, TT is playing great. He was just about our best forward and I thought he did a great job in gals place. He was guilty of trying too hard, which is something gal got accused of earlier in the year. TT isn't **** at all he is just tring to do too much to help the team. He is always involved and wants to take hit ups, he is always the first one there calling for the ball and makes plenty of metres. I am sad to be losing him.

we are deadset ****ed. i enjoyed watching the class of degois, he is a major step up from morris.

jigsaw your a deadset wanker. apparently ur ak's number one fan and u posted hes too old for 20s this year. UR AN IDIOT!!!

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We look tired, you could see the boys trying but we just seemed slow and like we needed a rest. I hope they get a couople days off this week.

Snowy is playing ****, it's not that he's not trying his hardest but he might need to play a couple of games in NSW cup to pick up some form. I am ver happy with mannah, I really hope we don't lose him as he is just starting to be really comfortable in firsts and has a bright future.

That crowd was ****, there was absolutely no atmosphere except for the cage. The so called fans are doing a good job of making us look bad. Put a fricking jumper on and get to the ground FFS.

We will come back strong against the ponies I have no doubt. AK needs to come into the starting side to add some attacking spark. Graham is going great but the things he's doing well are what backrowers do so that's where he has to be.

jiggy i know you love albert and i think that passion is your downfall atm. i love your posts and ur opinion and i love albert but i really think you just need to bring it back a tad. tbh i will be happy for him to come back because we dont really have much to lose. met pommeroy and vave and gavin badger throughout the game. ****in pissed off my tits and vave is an awesome guy haha.

bring on the bronco ****s!

does it look like a joke, he tries so hard and doesn't get the credit he deserves. He made some mistakes because he was over enthusiastic. That's hardly a bad thing.

3 or 4 dropped balls, 2 penalties conceded and he bombed a try when he tried to run over three blokes rather than just throw a simple pass to an unmarked Pomeroy. His defense was solid though.

TT has been playing great when he sticks in the middle of the field and goes well when he runs hard and then looks to offload, but was terrible last night playing on the right edge.

tt is an ok player; not great, not bad - ok. i don't think we'll miss him terribly next year. in fact i would be concerned if i were a para fan and he is their prize signing. sounds a bit like us in 2009 and 10.

put this one behind us. go knows we need to as the 8 is a long way away now.

go sharks.

Very very disapointing, thought we were over the one man band thing too. Stapleton and Tagatese had a crack at least!

Thoughts

A few things I noted:

We played flat. We didn't seem to push up in attack as we'd done previously. There appeared to be a lot of one out hit-ups with little support nor much passing before the line.

I thought that there were a lot of disparate efforts which seemed to go against the cohesive team efforts we had when we were winning. Tupou, Douglas, Tagataese and Tautai all tried hard in this regard.

Our defence held up well, we were in control of the Newcastle ruck. The first try we conceded was lucky on their part when the ball hit the deck. A soft penalty later when Morris merely put a hand on a Knights player's face we conceded again. Thereafter it looked like we became dispirited and that's when the errors started to flow.

On a positive note Poms marked up well on Sau and threw in a couple of body slams for good measure. He caught a difficult grassed ball and ran strongly.

Mannah has bulked up; he had good go forward. I didn't rate him much but perhaps he's taken a little while longer to develop having come back from his ill-health.

I think people for the moment are taking the exception for the rule. Radical changes are not needed on the back of this game. There could be a few variables primarily the short turnaround from Monday night. If we lose our next couple then the judgment can be cast that we've made our run. For the time being I'll hold off.

The most disappointing thing about that loss was the small crowd. Having said that, we have just had a week of rain and the weather yesterday looked ominous all through. Plus it was freezing. Plenty of people would have played it safe and stayed home.

Without Gallen and Bukuya, we really lacked firepower up front. Snowden has lost alot of weight after his neck injury. Despite alot of the talk about us having too many backrowers, we didn't seem to have enough depth last night.

Tupou and Tagatese were good, Douglas was his usual workaholic self. Townsend and Graham did the best they could with what they had, I thought. Stapleton is a must have on the wing. Dangerous in the air in attack and safe as houses in defence.

We should have led at halftime, Stapleton's try should have been awarded. We actually had more linebreaks and off-loads than the Knights, who missed alot more tackles too.

Dropped ball cost us but the second half refereeing ensured we were never in the game. There were plenty of soft penalties to even up the first half penalty count and they all went to the Tinklers.

We need Gallen back next week if we are to be a chance against the Broncos. Who do we put in the second row to replace Bukuya, cos' the blokes we used last night didn't cut it. I'd be bringing in Vave or Clayton to give them a chance. Flanagan should go, bring back Aiton and Tautai had a shocker, give him a rest.

Quality post... argument well stated.

Name calling again. Nice.

is this place moderated or can Jigsaw just say what he likes.

How about quoting all the other negative posts jigsaw.

I get flagged for my posts all the time and get warnings for them. Still not going to stop me from showing my support for my team and getting the ****s at frauds like yourself.

You know all you had to say was that we played **** etc. If you haven't noticed yet the thing that annoys me the most is the fact you expect the team to lose and have no confidence in them.

How many games have you been to this year anyway?
