Expect this website to go into meltdown at about 5.05pm today shortly after the team announcement with a band of "true" supporters calling for Flanno's head (again), and certain players from the Captain down being rubbished whilst some largely untested rookies are being suggested for knighthood. I wouldn't dissagree with one unforced change yet it's say-so reading.

Obviously 8 teams lose each week yet keen to hear who was really the worst for round #1 &/or have a worst 3?

Bronx beaten at home by 30 & scored 1 try.
Manly had 42 put on them & beaten by 30.
Tigers just beat a massive understrength Titans by a point.
Cows, beaten by 24 at home & scored 1 try.
Dogs could not score a point for 70 minutes and (like sharks) had some embarrassing tries scored against them.
Saints had 20 sets on Storm's line and could not score (at home). Scored 1 try in the corner all night from a kick-through.

Actually think Sharks have more potential than some of the others above.

I think we would have been beaten by the same if not more than the bolded scores above the way we played on Sunday.

I think the let down for us all is bigger as we were all expecting so much from our new look team, fresh and free from the "you know what" saga and our coach refreshed after a 12 month holiday.
A gun number 6, strong forward pack, some new players in the backline and our exciting youngsters.

Probably need to do an in-depth analysis and call for players or coaches heads if we're 0 from 4 or 5. Until then, I'll reserve judgement.
Sunday night wasn't pretty but we can only improve from there.

The other positive for this game is - at least we are in a better position this week than what we were in Round 2 last year.

How **** was that team we named to play the bulldogs on that Monday night.

Sammy 'third man in' has been dropped to the bench for Thiaday night footy...

and this imo spells bad news for us

thiaday has a very good record having good games at sharks park, so he will be even more eager to get out and rip in

im tipping a busy night for robbo when ST3 comes on the pitch

Supposedly Benny might give Willie O's nephew a bench spot despite saying he wouldn't play this year. Kid can play, but it seems unlikely until I see the team list.

Nup, I would think that if you support Sharks, you support the club, team, players, coach etc. Some guys just look to bag out any chance they get & this is nearly a pissing comp between some members here.

All summer it's been, here's the team Flanno will pick & here's the team that I would pick so Flanno must know stuff all. Then the style of play etc. But when dudes suggest that Feki play centre for eg, they know more than Flanno. Gotme?

as a fan of the club though, surely we have the right to vent frustration at a player or the coach, or the game plan?

it is easy to say true fans don't say anything negative, but c'mon, that is not the case.

my biggest concern and issue from the entire off season was mitch brown being signed and taking a spot off a potential youngster. I am not saying I see the boys train, but my concerns were justified when Brown put in a dead set barry blinker of a game, whilst Holmes finished the year against the Tigers as our best on ground.

my other concern against Flanagan are his lies he spruiks in the media.
he has been running his mouth all summer long.

-gal wont play 80 minutes. lie
- holmes will be on the wing and interchange with Gordon - lie
- Gordon will do some general play kicking - lie

and while we do not know more than flanno, Feki carved out a brilliant junior career as a left centre for the 2 time champions the Warriors, and also played in a test match where NZ beat Australia.
I don't think it is far fetched at all to call for Feki as a centre as his attributes are made for the centre roll, but atm he is our best winger, and our starting centres are NRL standard so that discussion can probably be put on the back burners until injury/form slump.

but to come on a public forum and dismiss people as "not true fans" because they voice frustration against some players, some coaching decision and the way the club is run is wrong.

my 2 cents
