Maybe that was the problem

the sharks players thought they were in for "easy" Game.
With all the build up positive exposure for a change coming 2nd in the Auckland 9s
maybe that went straight to their heads.

If they had the rooster/ south would they prepared differently.

This is going to be a rest for Bennett/ Flanno Friday night
Emotionally and physically to lift the players up
shake off last weeks games and start again.
Cause both teams played very ordinary

The wake up call should have been the Tigers trial which was just as bad as Sunday's game, all comes down to the way the coaching staff prepared the team in that regards

Early in the season boys still fresh I always like the idea of a qik turnaround after a loss less time talking about it dwelling on it. Was humid in brisvegas Thursday rekon that will even up recovery period

Except brown played instead of holmes and toops who set up a try playing as a back rower got used as a battering ram so that moron gal plays his 80 mins.

Maybe that was flannos plan?talk new style and try and bore canberra to death?

to be fair toops was average playing as a wide running back rower in the trial, yes he got a few good offloads away but never looked like getting the ball to beale

This worries me. We were very flat in attack and defence in at least the first 20 minutes. That should not be possible for Round 1, the boys should be fired up.

Actually it kinda does happen when you play at 6:30 on a Sunday night. 3 and half days off watching footy being pumped up would take it out of you if you find it hard to relax - which a lot footballers do.

Canberra spent the day together on the bus joking and getting the nerves out and it looked like it as they went from the opening whistle. When we got into the game it proved to be too late but we did start to put it together.
