One element of our play that I did like was when the Rabbitohs made a mistake/turnover we were shifting the ball early through sets of hands to the other side of the field, not sure if it was a ploy just for the Rabbitohs game or whether we are going to make that part of our game plan but I like it.

Nothing come of it last night but I loved the fact we were asking the question of the Rabbitohs defence.

Todd needs to take more control. He looked so dangerous last night. He's taking the ball to the line which is fantastic.

He did look dangerous. He really needs someone to run off him well.

Wright actually took the safer option, if he hadn't been illegally slammed in the face he would have crashed over and scored, pass the ball and you have a 30% chance of something going wrong, I reckon he made the right choice, it just didn't come off

I wouldn't mind seeing our hit up forwards running a bit wider though. They seemed to be picked up by the markers a lot. The South Sydney defence seemed to be up very quickly on us as well though. I couldn't see it properly from TV, but it looked like they must have been offside at times.

got the souths team back on the field to be defence and made wright and beau run the play 10 times and 7 times it came off.

The boys weren't impressed either ... kept saying things like "I'm hungry", "I just want to got back to the sheds" and "I'm supposed to be doing an interview with Fox" etc

Saw on the stats he got 2nd highest tackle count for the round.

Merritt had carney covered, beau had to go for it in that instance.

Watch the replay closely, meritt was completely focused on Wright, all he had to do was pass, beau is quick enough and agile enough to have gotten the ball down. He was blowing up deluxe it was a certainty mate. worse case scenario beau has to dive for the corner.

Souths had an 11 day turnaround.

It might be beneficial later in the year but I actually think it's a bad thing so early in the season when trying to get a bit of momentum.

That will come. Once he builds a good combination with Lewis and Gordon these things will run a lot more fluently.

Seems like we can take some good things out of the game. I was worried we get smashed.

We need to win the next 2 games at home. These 2 games will make a difference to us later on in the year.
