Was just sitting there wondering 'why did he just quote my post and not say anything?' Then saw the edit. Good job.

Not in attack, but earlier in the year he definitely got us home with 2-3 great try saving tackles in one game, can't remember who against off the top of my head.

Just finished watching the game, and in my opinion his only massive error was a ridiculous offloads on our 10 from a kick return about 30 minutes in. Whilst there were other errors most of them were under pressure or tough chances. I did also think he could have positioned himself better to bring the ball back though which would have made life easier for him.

He was out of position for Lee's second try from a grubber. Costing your team try is massive one.

Bird gordan both had shockers and we still won
so? Do you thinks that's going to happen all the time, there is also no clear replacement for bird where as in flashes situation it's clear as day that we have a player that by far is the better player

I'm beginning to think Flash has compromising photos of Egg doing something he shouldn't be doing. Only reason I can think why he is defending Flash so much.

how do you know that, I bet you never watched him in the 20's playing centre

Yes ,I did watch the 20's highlights reels when I heard he was coming to the Sharks .
Never saw him play in the flesh at 20s level .
You don't think he has the talent and footwork to be a really good centre again ?

If he was a better winger than centre in that champion Warriors under 20 side , don't you think they would have played him there .
Just have a little think , it's not that hard .

yes I do, he has all the qualities to make a good centre. But let's stop and think about this for a second. He hasn't played centre since 2011 which was in a under 20's competition playing in probably the best 20's squad since it's inclusion.

Then there is the fact of how much of a gamble it would be given the stage of the season and were we currently sit on the ladder, in my opinion we aren't in a position nor need to make those kind of gambles

There is no guarantee that he will offer more then ricky does before season ends and to me if we were to experiment with feki in the centres it would need to start in the off season with him training and trailing there, it's not as easy as just putting him there and thinking he will offer more then ricky

Where with flash it's evident that he is the weaker option when we have someone who has already proven he is the better player this year in that position

Before making a change you need to weigh up if it's going to be the best for the team, shifting bird or feki/gordon positionally doesn't mean it's going to be the best thing for our side, if we move bird we have no one to replace him with, it's just solving one problem but creating another as we'd be even worse in the halves

Moving flash just strengthens our team and means we can carry another forward on the bench, it's a win win situation that just disrupt the way we have been playing as barba has been better at fullback playing in the structure that is working for us. Way to risky to change our style and structure now with positional changes other then upgrading our fullback with no negative outcomes to the rest of the side.

Having barba on the bench is a complete waste

Debatable.

Egg the bottom line is, we cant have gordon in our starting 13 without a player missing out. Whether thats feki barba or leutele, its no different. None of them should be left out just to keep flash in.

Thanks 2010 really good post .
I do get the risk factor and yes you're probably right that it could /would be too risky at this stage of the season .
I suppose I just wanted our best 17 on the field .
I'm happy to shut up now and stop banging on . You're the ONLY forum member that acknowledges that Feki could be a great centre again
Cheers

One last retort .
I think he had to start on the wing when entering first grade like most young backs do .
He's done his apprenticeship , lets see what he could do as a tradesman down the track at centre .
If Gagan comes back to top form next year somethings gotta give .

Noone is saying feki wouldnt make a good centre. But is it worth making 3 positional changes just to keep a guy under performing in the side? No.

Fekis finishing in the sideline is worlds beyond anything flash would be capable of. Given how flat we play and how tight a path our left side in particular get down that wing, we need a guy who can get the ball down in traffic. if we had options available id be all for feki moving. But imo it makes our team weaker to shift him for flash.

2016 id have feki and beale on the left, bird and holmes on the right
