I've enjoyed the last 4 weeks watching the Sharks on their winning run. Their confidence is up and a natural consequence of this increased confidence is the tendency to try more things in attack.
This in turn has led to more tries and instead of our standard average two tries per game we are averaging five. Our centres and wingers are finally seeing ball thanks to the efforts of Chad Townsend who has settled in well and got those passes out quickly - Best has been given room to move at last!... and now Wade Graham is firing on all four cylinders (the heavy burden of being chief playmaker is now off his shoulders due to the Chad influence) - Not having the kicking responsibility anymore has let Wade play his natural game and I really like how he is improving each week - thankfully even the kicks he does try are looking better and better.:cheers
A word of caution however...we are not really ready to match it with the big boys yet. We will probably get a good wake-up call against the Dragons. Our four recent wins have been over the Dogs, the Bunnies, the Titans and the Raiders - All who have played quite poorly. Now is not the time to talk it up as us being the form team of the comp - we are far from it.
Hopefully if the Sharks can stick to that philosophy of one week at a time, we can win a few more games than we lose, and sneak into the final eight at the right time of the season.:hoping
